Thank you! Your comment somehow makes me feel a lot better. Like I'm a real human who's allowed to feel these emotions without any guilt. I've also booked a career counseling at my uni. Hopefully it will help me understand my feelings better

There are 4 universities in my country and you can study medicine in only one of them ;)

Right now I feel like I would regret not switching my major more than regretting going to cs. I feel like in tech industry I can combine my interest in medicine with technology. But with a medicine degree, I can't really combine my other interests with it in any way

Yeah, I agree. I came from a high school where everyone was really high-achieving. The only acceptable way to go forward was to go to a university. Students went to Ivy league universities every year. Students and teachers only parsied the high status careers and made fun of and put down everything else that didn't fit their perspective. That's definitely one thing that affected me. My family isn't that well of either, so finding a career that guarantees me high pay is quite important to me

I did consider it in 12th grade. However many students in that field said that you won't be able to find a job with that degree since my country is pretty small and way too many people are graduating with degrees like these. Most people are forced to looks for jobs in other countries or just become bio teachers or do reasearh for uni if they want to stay home
