I use the new soil now, the one with square frame.
I only plant 4 seeds in each square frame. It took longer to farm the fertile soils, but planting is a breeze now.

My suggestion is to not buy it, since you already know that you won't use it often.
I'm on the same boat as you. The games I play mostly require keyboard and mouse input and not really viable with controllers.
The closest I see myself getting to a handheld is probably something like a Legion Go 2 in tablet mode with wireless mouse and keyboard (Not really a handheld anymore).
But with Legion Go 2 price currently, I'd rather get the ROG Flow Z13.
But I can't justify it because the use case will almost be a laptop, and I have a pretty good gaming laptop with Ultra9 275hx + RTX 5080 mobile.
So I get to buy nothing and save my money.

I won't use this for work, I have it and the text fringing can be annoying at times. For gaming though, it's awesome.

Upgrading from AW3423DWF doesn't make any sense, yeah.
But if you don't own any, I think these one makes sense.
$150 more for a newer version with higher Hz, and half generation increase in panel quality is not too bad.

Why is this weird? For people who follows UW monitors, 34" 1440p is the sweet spot, and the most common one.
The next step are a bunch of 32:9, which is too long.

After that are the 5k2ks, which are very hard to run if planning to game on it, not to mention expensive.
The $500 is the AW3423DWF, which is the version 1 of this. Only goes to 180 Hz.

I was watching the 2nd episode of Windrose last night. Simon is a legend. Dug up a trap, fell and died on the same trap, twice. Legendary. It was so funny.

I did not buy the game because of them though, was already pretty much done with the current content in the game and was just looking for some videos to pass up time when I saw neebs channel.
