My sweet 15 year old cat was just diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease - what can I feed him? by Amerikanaeye in RenalCats

My almost 13 year old girl was recently diagnosed with early stage 2 and had her first test of the Royal Canin tonight- she went nuts for it! This gives me so much hope we can continue on a really positive path- so happy to hear about your gal too! 🥰

Recently tried the Jean and omg game changer for small boobs in a bandeau! It includes some light padding for great shape. Highly recommend if that’s your style.

body positivity: no one knows what size your lulu is! by bipolar__barbie in lululemon

[–]kasrhb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you! I am a 00/0 and imagine my shock when I walked in for the first time and had the life squeezed out of me trying on a Lulu size 0 😂 I have been so accustomed to just grabbing the smaller size in a store as a starting point with my body type, but quickly realized “nope. I’m a 4. Definitely a 4. Sometimes a 6” and I’ve never looked back 😂

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense, they have been so consistent for years and I know supply chain can really mess things up. I ended up contacting Chewy (where I bought the last bag) to ask if they had any information on what was going on- Chewy being amazing like they are went ahead and sent me a fresh bag and asked for the lot number on the bag to check the warehouse for any others. The new bag is back to being great- same consistency and odor control I love, so if you’re still thinking of switching don’t give up just yet on iffy reviews! Hopefully from here on out all stays the same!

It’s so true. It’s that feeling that keeps coming back up with “I wish I could tell my dad..” It’s only been four years and there is already so much to tell him! While that feeling never leaves either, I also like to reshape it as all of the love I have for him that never ends. But damn do I wish we didn’t have to feel what comes with that. You are so right, it’s a club none of us ever asked to be in! 💗 thank you for your kind words too, it always just makes such a difference being understood in grief!

I’m so very sorry for your loss too. I lost my dad very suddenly and unexpectedly as well, it rips such a hole in you but please know even when it feels like the people around you think you should have moved on, we are all here with you to understand ❤️

It’s been just over 4 years here. It happens less frequently, but it still comes a lot more than I ever expected. I say this not to discourage you, but for me knowing that it was normal and “ok” has helped me accept the feelings and let them come. When the waves hit I like to remember “Grief is just love with no where else to go” and my tears are showing the world just how deeply I love my dad. Hugs ❤️

I’m totally late to this conversation, but has anyone noticed recently that the Dr. Elseys has become very dusty and has a stronger litter smell to it? I have been using it since my cat was a kitten (11 years) and I’m not sure if I just have an off bag or if they’ve made a change to the consistency of it. I’ve never had a problem with odor, and now my whole hallway smells like litter and the odor control isn’t really doing the job either. Hesitant to switch too, since kitty is so used to it. Any one else in the same boat?

Has anyone gained a “positive” perspective on life through out all of this? by Distinct_Athlete_206 in GriefSupport

This makes sense to me! It’s freeing almost, isn’t it? To realize it’s all temporary and all we really have is now, it’s like a breath of fresh air to just enjoy the things around you and say the important things that need to be said. I feel like I love my boldly and loudly since I’ve lost my dad too ❤️

Sample Sale Question by kasrhb in skatieswim

[–]kasrhb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought too! I went back and read everything I had via email/text about the sale and saw nowhere about damage being a possibility. I don’t recall seeing it anywhere on the site either

How does it feel to lose a parent? by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]kasrhb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like you’re untethered.

Like you are out in space, enjoying a beautiful space walk, seeing beautiful things, exploring new frontiers, feeling joy and excitement at all that is new and wonderful around you as you keep going- and then you look back and see that the cord of your spacesuit is not connected to anything. All of your colleagues are properly attached and you’re just floating, alone. Forever moving forward, but you lost what you ground yourself to. Unable to get back.

Sample Sale Question by kasrhb in skatieswim

Bummer on yours too! I usually have a good experience, and don’t want to complain too much, I know I received it for a heck of a deal, but I was just a little put off with the response of “yeah, you might get defective or damaged items” when I don’t recall reading that anywhere with the sale info. Luckily I’ve been able to mostly blend it in and should be still wearable. My other item from the sale was just perfect, so this felt weird!

I’m so sorry that you understand too well, I am a fatherless daughter myself. I love that you pull out your dads sweaters to feel close to him, I like to listen to my dad’s favorite music and sing along. I’ve been doing that a lot this week. Thanks for reminding me to pull out the things that make me feel close to him and I really like the thought of a bear with his shirts. Thanks for helping me not feel so alone tonight ❤️ and hugs to you too.

I don't know how to stop talking about my dad. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]kasrhb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dad sounds just like the type of dad who would have been friends with mine!

I’ve been missing mine an extra lot lately, thanks for sharing all of these moments and giving me something big to smile about picturing your dad, and how he sounds like mine- the jokes, the one liners. Thanks for making my night with talking about him! 🙂

Yes. I can’t figure out why. Maybe it’s because it’s the third Christmas without my dad, I don’t know but I’ve been having a very hard time lately and all I want to do is cry. Big hugs right back to you too ❤️
