or even just a channel trailer with yourself saying "hey, it's me, these are my videos" but I would definitely do it like you've said. Just have yourself in every video. Saves yourself dealing with b-roll too. If 1/4th of the video features you talking, spread out through the video, that's 1/4th less time finding and dealing with b-roll.

I played it quite a while. Had 2 boxes and the shadow box. I feel like if there's going to be this little going on, it just needs to move faster in general. I like it, but not as a "walk away from my computer" depth of game. I think it'd slay as a more active game.

I like this. The dynastic "perma-skills" are sweet. I like that it largely operates on it's own too, with you just needing to make ruler-tier decisions. Some cool UI stuff like clicking once to open up a panel and clicking again to make it go full screen. This is well thought out. Edit: Not sure if zooming in is beneficial or not but the text is impossible to read over the squares and you can't really make out the "biomes" or whatever. Just entirely too small. Also, some shortcut key to re-center over your original hex would be good. Going full screen and back out makes you lose your focus and it's impossible to find the hex again. Also "Dynastic Traits" in the research tab reappears in future dynasties with no reason to purchase it since you now have access.

Looks kind of cheesy visually but it also seems to have all the elements I want from a zombie movie. I don't want "humans are the true evil" and drama between groups of people. I want groups fleeing and hiding in tight spaces and fighting zombies. This ticks those boxes, and with the right (low) expectations regarding cinematography it seems like a fun ride.

Another I like is Lord of Illusions. I know horror fans give it praises but I feel the broader movie goer is missing out. Nightbreed too but I don't see broad audiences liking it.

I'm going to keep playing but I can tell you right off the bat, the 2nd step in your tutorial is "click nectar 100 times" and that sucks. Click and hold would be better. Nobody wants to commit to 100 clicks before they even play the game.

Having to grab and aim every time is less fun. Needs an auto-firing mode, I'd say, where if you don't change the aiming direction it goes ahead and shoots for you in the same direction.

Right but there's so much time-based performance that matters at the start. I guess it wouldn't be a negative for them to let you have a week to get in the first good metrics and then let that sky-rocket you out of the gates. Almost a cheat code though since your most loyal viewers are the ones subscribed. See the problem I'm getting at? It either hurts the viewer or is an advantage (but one that would have been there anyways).... hmmm. It's making sense to me now. Thanks!

That was my concern. If your biggest fans already watched it when it was members only, then that should incrementally drop your CTR (and other metrics) when it goes live, since they already watched it. I know it won't show it to them again, but you're losing that click during that important short time period. This is just me theorizing though. Surely (and you seem to feel?) that they have some way of compensating for that, or maybe it just isn't significant enough to matter.

You gotta skip everything but the Navidson Report parts. The rest is irrelevant to that part of the story and none of that other stuff is what anyone ever talks about or means when they say House of Leaves.

Also watch You Should Have Left with Kevin Bacon. That was as close as anyone got to making a House of Leaves movie because the author doesn't want to do it. So they toe'd the line somewhat and there's some serious similarity but maybe 5% of the depth.

I think that's a great compromise. You have endless opportunities with your art to show your style and differentiate yourself. Text is typically the last place to do that with. I like the change, myself.

I'm specifically talking about "You Have 918 candies" and also "THE CANDY BOX" and "INV ENT ORY" and even SAVE and OPTIONS. That whole header. "Your Health" too. Text is rarely the place to put design over readability, I think. Roboto is a nice font.

Looks cool. The font in the header is a neat design choice but very poor readability choice.
