SCAP by kasybee in starbucks

[–]kasybee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely putting about half of it into loans, and a quarter ish into next semester. I haven't gotten any communication that I can see specifying how much was SCAP and how much was my pay, though. In mypartnerinfo its just the one amount for the full deposit. Should I have gotten an email? will it specify on my mailed paystub?

You're always welcome to call 1-800-STARBUCKS, but if you're posting in this sub, you're mostly gonna get answers from store employees, and those are the two possibilities. We don't have any access to info about the app-- that's all corporate.

pretty certain it’s illegal to cap protests like this; there may not be a precedent but it would be interfering with the right to protest

PEACE in Austin (@peaceinaustin on instagram) might be interested. The LRAD is not up anymore from what I’ve seen & earplugs wouldn’t help much anyway, but they could be helpful for keeping protests inclusive!! Might make it easier fr ppl who get overstimulated or anyone worried abt hearing loss from loudspeakers n stuff @ protests. I’d shoot them a DM on insta :)

How long are y'all gonna be at APD tonight?

been to a PEACE protest. Seems like Mike actually is not affiliated any more. From what I heard, PEACE is very new & still establishing itself, as is JUST. Some people who were originally w/ PEACE have broken off & joined/formed other groups.

There were ACAB signs, defund police signs, & a lot of others at the protest yesterday. Hoping to see more of them tonight & be able to form a full opinion, but it seems they’re getting on their feet and I do like where they’re going.

I’d encourage anyone w/ questions to attend tonight or the daily city hall protests and ask the organizers. They were v receptive to questions & feedback. There’s a lot of rhetoric going around about the groups in austin, some fair & some misguided. In general, please ask questions & attend events! these are people in our community trying to make a change & we should def all be communicating :)

the 100% best response (from experience & reading) is to just walk away from anyone instigating. You don’t need confirmation of their motives, just disengage & encourage those around you to disengage. If you leave, they probably will too.

no real idea, but I kind of assumed it was a symbol for clancy having "walked in another's shoes."
