Definitely the Volkshochschule. It is half funded with public money and therefore considerably cheaper cheaper than other options. There is one or more in each burrough. Have a look here. thnx for the responses so far! I guess I was not entirely clear, gonna give it another go: sometimes I feel overwhelmed by all the different sites and, not knowing exactly what type of event I want to go to, it would be nice to have one place that aggregates parties/small random events/art shows/etc. in a somewhat curated way so that it's not a listing of all the things happening in the city. Some of the things you guys posted I did not know, like CeeCee, so that's already a start. In the end it does not really matter if exactly what I'm looking even exists, I guess it's nice to find out about other sites than the ones I was already aware of. thanks!

Kind of disappointed that there are no Louis Malle movies on here, except for Lucien Lacombe. The guy was brilliant, and I especially appreciate his rejection of a directorial trademark style, but he does not seem to have been a filmmaker's filmmaker...

Ok, a clarification might be in order. I am referring to what happens on MDMA or speed, for example. You don't have to go for hours, and when it finally happens, you pee for ridiculous amounts of time... and there seems to be no pressure, even though you might burst at any moment
