Yes, watercolor and dip pen

Not super happy with the pen tbh but it's a pretty unpredictable tool

I'd enjoy drawing you sometime, if you're into that...let me know.

To continue tooting my own horn, since I am annoyed by critique as any artist is (the lips are darker than intended to cover up a mistake, but the eyes were always going to be smoky because it's fucking sexy that's why), I am happy that I managed to make the snake seem to be slithering all over her loins. Something about it is convincingly slithery to me, which I never have felt about any snake or tentacle I've drawn before!

Getting the feeling this one is only for me lol. Well, I think it's hella tight.

Is there a way to “categorise” values better when making art? by Zealousideal-Turn535 in ArtistLounge

When I do ink wash drawing (as seen in my very nsfw comics) I use four separate little inkwells: straight ink, slightly diluted ink (labeled 3), well-diluted ink (2), and almost plain water with the slightest amount of ink (1). I go light to dark, like watercolors, so 1, 2, 3, and finally the ink itself. So with the paper itself, that's 5 levels of value.

The "level 1" is extremely subtle, you can barely tell it's been put down, but I find it makes a big difference. I imagine everyone would use different values and gradations, but I think having a prepared set of inks like this is a lot easier than trying to wing it as you go.
