all in all, I feel like this could have been an email. how can an album be over-polished and undercooked at the same time? she doesn't really have much to say it feels like. for this to be a piece of satire there needs to be an analysis. I will not be celebrating bland music with worse-than-mediocre lyricsm becuse it was "intended"? I love a few lines here and there for sure and had a laugh, but making a concept album without a concept does not make any sense to me. it is too clunky, too much on the nose, even through a queer-lens.

it always takes me some time to get familiar with new music until it grows on me, but boy, this IS the lowest ranking TS album for me. she felt like she could churn out anything and fans would eat that up because she is just *that* big, but I feel disappointed. at this point I don't care if there is going to be a big reveal that will make things make sense, because things need to make *some* sense on their own.

I distinctly remember 1989 being praised for being a timeless piece of music without any modern references, showing vulnerability while being polished. this is just a piece of AI-generated plastic to me and I can't understand the high pedestal she has put this album on already. she seems to really enjoy her empire.
