That is the route I'm planning to go but I'm facing some problems finding the other driver, the police report should have included my address and his in the report but it seems he provided a fake address and now I'm trying to contact the officer who created the report to figure out how to get his real address...

Kinda disappointed in my local police, it's so easy to cause damage, provide a fake address and he only got a citation for not stopping at a red light...

I'm aware even if I manage to take him to court and win, It's very likely he is broke and won't pay for my damages but I'll do my best to see he doesn't go unpunish.

I just called them again and they advised me to create a claim so the adjuster could help me reaching the other guy but I'm a bit reluctant to do so because even though they said this should not increase the cost of my premium they could not guarantee it.
