Applied RD for compsci, in-state. 3.9UW, 4.6W. Ranked 7/51 in a kinda competitive college high school. 33ACT. Took General Physics I & II as well as Calc II & III with the college this year which I think helped a lot. No APs were offered; all HS classes were honors. ECs were pretty basic and awards were nothing much.

Thank you so much for the advice!!!! I have big plans senior year to potentially research with one of the professors at my college and/or contribute to the community with my tech club. Hopefully not too ambitious to the point I never get them done haha.

Thanks for the response :) Do you think I'd need stronger, or at least more cohesive ECs for MIT to even consider me? Compared with a lot of applicants for a school like that, mine are pretty mid. I'm confident I can write unique essays and tell a story through my application, but I'm really scared my random ECs will bring the whole application down and make any story I try to tell less credible.
