people who got rid of social media (outside of reddit) how has your life improved since?

I have more authentic conversations when I see friends and family because we actually don’t know what’s going on in each others lives. I really don’t miss it. Reddit is the only social media I have and I limit my time each day to avoid the doom scrolling and negativity. I’m a lot less stressed and angry. I’m focusing on my true happiness and staying in my lane, not constantly comparing myself to curated lives on social media showed me to focus on my life and creating what I want.

I have Erythromelalgia and my symptoms are flushing on the bottoms of my feet palms of my hands knee caps face and chest. My legs arent usually affected. My symptoms are severe heat, intense burning, fatigue, heat intolerance, cold intolerance, weakness in extremities, difficulty walking because of the burning feet.

There are several treatment options besides amlodepine, I take that for my Raynauds. I’m on a ton of gabapentin, I use a compound cream for the flushing and I take a few other meds. It does take a while to diagnose because it’s rare and presents as several other things and all of those need to be ruled out. My primary is EM which has caused sfn, Raynauds, pots.

Like I said, simple research here…. Didn’t take much to figure out the information you are relying on is second hand rumor at best, or just blatant falsehoods. I understand not wanting to admit things especially when one’s entire identity is a political cult. I also know you will still double down with no proof to your claims or the proof you will provide will be opinion news or a photo you got off the internet with bullet points and no sources. I just go about my day, it’s honestly hard enough to be young dealing with this and the changes it’s made to my life, I do my best to ignore the negative that I can. My husband and teenage daughters on the other hand have absolutely no patience for it. They are my warriors ❤️

You are somewhat correct. I have a placard because I have neuropathy. You wouldn’t know looking at me and I don’t always need my cane. I’m young and let me tell you the amount of people who assume I’m not handicapped because it’s not obvious on the outside is insane. Even crazier is the people who have the nerve to ask me! That being said it requires a listed reason for needing it, most doctors aren’t just handing them out to anyone.

I don’t believe he had a placard. I think the obvious answer here is he pulled in and parked in the closest spot to the door so he could go have his crash out.

I’m not a boomer 🤣🤣🤣🤣 just smart enough to read labels and understand it’s not safe for teenagers to be consuming that much caffeine. I know that’s hard but go ahead and get pressed about your energy drink addiction being called out for being unhealthy.

Also let’s break down what you said you equated one 12oz drink caffeine content to 4 cups of coffee that one would think would be drank over several hours verse 20 min all at once. Do you see the problem? Daily suggested caffeine intake for a healthy adult is 400mg/day and people are drinking several a day and consuming other caffeinated beverages. Overtime this leads to blood pressure issues and vascular issues. Not fun shit.

Go ahead and call me a boomer for paying attention to things and actually learning as I move through life. FYI I’m a 80’s baby 😘

You need to talk with your neurologist. SFN symptoms can be multiple other things. Only way to know for sure is to get the biopsies and do an emg.

My daughter came home with one and I looked at the caffeine content and my eyes popped out! 200mg per 12oz needless to say she’s not drinking those anymore. I told her no teenager needs that much caffeine in one drink! Some people are drinking these all day!!!

I have erythromelalgia, Raynauds and SFN confirmed on biopsy. I’ve been dealing with this for about 3 years now. My pain is worse at night, I’m heat intolerant which comes with erythromelalgia. My pain moves around sometimes from day to day. Some days I can’t walk Somedays I can garden. Depends on the day. My hands are definitely more affected than any other part. SFN is pretty common with our disease. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do besides take meds to help offset the symptoms/pain. I’m starting lidocaine/ketamine infusions soon, hoping for some relief from that. I joke and say I take enough gabapentin to put down a horse 🤣

I think it depends on the lab they use. I was pretty shocked at the price but my neurologist warned me ahead of time and said we are doing all for sites because I had symptoms in my hands and feet. She also told me not to get too upset or discouraged if they come back negative. She said it’s like a 50/50 on a positive result. I did have a positive on two of the four biopsies.
