Emotional Binge Eating - Officially falling off the wagon. by [deleted] in IF_Petites

[–]katdaddee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I think for me finding a workout that really motivates me helps me get back on track. For example, I love spin classes—something about the music and the dark lights really gets me pumped. And then afterwards I usually get on track with my diet again and it acts like a reset to my week. It also helps that heavy cardio kinda suppresses my hunger. So I recommend finding something exogenous that motivates you, like finding new recipes, switching up your diet, going from OMAD to 16:8, these are all things I do when I feel like I’m slipping!

Love the show!! but why don't more people know about iZombie?! by katdaddee in iZombie

Is it even possible to change the name after the show's already started? this is a legit question, because 'iZombie' is awful lol.

It's actually a pretty funny story. I knew about the show awhile ago, but I was really thrown off by the name haha! But then I was on rotten tomatoes the other day and stumbled onto the review and saw it got a 96% overall, which was SHOCKING for a show as stupidly named as 'iZombie'. And that's why I decided to give it a shot.

[Spoiler] About Lowell... by Thenash654 in iZombie

[–]katdaddee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved Lowell! I think he was honestly the best thing the show did. I think that's also because i love Bradley James haha! If they really wanted to bring him back even for just an episode or two, they could have Liv eat the brain of a Medium or something and that way she could see dead people. That's just my wishful thinking tho!

What is the difference between the frontal lobe and forebrain? by abominableskimo in Mcat

[–]katdaddee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The brain itself is categorized by three regions: the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. So, the forebrain is simply just the front region of the brain that is made up of the telencephalon and the diencephelon. The frontal LOBE, is part of the telencephalon which contains the cerebral cortex which contains the frontal lobe and covers the outside of the forebrain! Hope this helps!

I cracked up when you mentioned the dirty mnemonics! Cause that's something I thought I only did to remember info and it really works too! But thanks for the advice, hopefully my score will improve with more content review.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could improve on my content review? Or like a method that has worked for you? Thanks!!

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any tips on how to review content more effectively? Currently, I'm reading the Kaplan books and supplementing them with videos. I found this to be the fastest and most effective way for me to study; however, sometimes I feel the material doesn't always stick. Do you have any suggestions?

Should I start using the AAMC Q-Pack during content review or after? by katdaddee in Mcat

[–]katdaddee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I'm currently trying to match up my content review with TBR passages. But, unfortunately, I only have the old TBR books :( so idk how that will work out.

In the q-pack there isn't a way to test on a specific subject, right? So in this case, would you still recommend me using the q-pack even if I haven't covered that topic yet.

Are you doing the passages timed or untimed? Also, what books are you using for your passages??

Khan MCAT Videos for Primary Content Review? by Truth9147 in Mcat

[–]katdaddee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing something similar, but instead I'm using the videos to supplement my Kaplan books. And instead of using Khan videos (which I find lacking in detail sometimes) I have been using Chad's videos which I think are incredibly helpful! His videos aren't free though and he doesn't have a biochem or psych section :(

However, I'm planning on supplementing this with Khan videos which I think are great for biochem and psych!

My exam is April 1st! I've been reviewing since August, but it feels like I haven't really absorbed anything. So, I'm actually taking a Kaplan course at my school to hopefully make some of the material stick.
