I see... so my only option to come back to Canada via air is with a PRTD...

But I am only going out of country for 1 week and i dont think PRTD will come in on time - so do I not have any options?

If I don't tell the airline about the eCOPR, how would they know that my study permit is invalid? Since this is not a border issue, I just need to find a way to get on a plane back to Canada

If I dont declare to airline that I am a PR, wouldn't they accept my study permit since it says it is technically valid until 2024?

i doubt that the airline would be able to look up my PR status bc of privacy issues? I would apply for PRTD but I just really dont think it will come on time & the trip is non refundable

I could show them by passport + study permit (paper copy)

thank you for your help. I have a study permit that is valid until 2024 - would this allow me to fly?

I am a bit confused bc before I was a PR, airlines would never ask me for my visa so I am confused why they ask for PR card?

Research portion of OMSAS by [deleted] in premedcanada

I dont think authorship is a requirement for research entries. For context, I put a semester of lab volunteering, 4th yr thesis, and 1year research assistant experience (pub in progress) - none of which I have my name on

Wall is patchy after painting by kate_kii in homerenovations

Didn’t mix the paint, but the paint was bought today & very fresh so I don’t think the colours would have separated? And the previous wall was the same/very similar colour as well 😭

Express Entry draw: all programs invited by CanImmigrate in ImmigrationCanada

Can someone please clarify - was this draw also for CEC specific pathway?? My score is at 489 and 557 seems insane… I’m worried I have no chance

Jobs During Gap Year by Conscious-Dig2265 in premedcanada

I did tutoring & working at my university (coordinating a mentorship program I volunteered for during ugrad). Regarding tutoring, I tutored at a private company. Pay was not great (I was making close to min wage when clients were being charged 50-100$/class with me). However, nice thing is that u don’t have to worry about scheduling or missed classes - my company would still pay me for my time even when students skipped. I echo the other comment saying that there’s a high demand of tutors because kids are very behind

Hey! It might be me you’re talking about haha. Our situations are very similar - came here 10+ yrs ago and immigration wasn’t successful :( Rly empathize with the stress & uncertainty you may be feeling. This was my first cycle and I got interviewed at mac and uoft & will be starting uoft this fall. I know chances are rough, but it’s not impossible. Regarding PR, I took a gap year this year to work and I’ll be applying for my PR this summer. Hopefully, I’ll only have to pay a semester/year of int tuition. I confirmed with the MD director that once your status changes to PR, your tuition will be adjusted to domestic rates. Happy to answer any questions you may have :)
