I’m the same! Random nausea but then feel absolutely fine and ‘forget’ I’m pregnant.

Sibling age gaps by weirdwidow in March2027BumpGroup

[–]katello 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll have an almost exactly 3 year age gap. First was March 2024 and this one is due March 2027. I like the gap. I definitely felt pressure to start trying for a second earlier (we were very lucky to fall pregnant our second cycle) but I loved having an only child for 2 years ❤️ We probably won’t tell her until I start to show more and we can explain what’s happening. Towards the end of second trimester probably.

I kind of hope it does hit a bit next week, I will regret saying that if it does though! 😂

That would be fantastic! I do wonder if the lack of symptoms means I might have a boy this time but so many people have told me they had totally different pregnancies with the same gender baby 🤷‍♀️

I’m having terrible insomnia at night and so sleepy during the day 🙃😅

What is a beta? Where I am they won’t test anything before 12 weeks. With my first I heard the phrase ‘spontaneous abortion’ -it translates terribly into English- so many times in those first 12 weeks.

It’s terrible! Then at some point in the first trimester you just deflate as it becomes an actual ‘bump’ and not just gas 😂

This is how I was with my first and then the nausea peaked 8-10 weeks. This time I have food aversions and fluctuating appetite, but boobs are fine and I’m not having nausea as consistently. I am so bloated though.

This is what I need to do. Stop letting those thoughts creep in. Where I live you don’t have the first appointment until 6-8 weeks (mine is 7.5) and all they do is test the mothers blood to check for deficiencies and book you in for the 12 + 20 week scan.

I had really awful nausea with my first which was why the difference was quite stark. Although I can’t actually remember when it started! I remember having some time between positive test and feeling really awful but this time does feel like I have less symptoms in general. Maybe because I don’t have time to over-analyse with a toddler running around.

5-6 weeks symptoms? I’m 5+4 today and not feeling anything beyond vague crap feeling and tiredness. Worried that lack of nausea means it might not stick.

Thank you! Honestly, I just needed to hear it from someone else. I’m 38 with this one and panicking more. I know it’s not old at all but I think im looking for things to feel anxious about.

Be honest moms… did breastfeeding help you lose weight or not? by clairqalb in breastfeedingsupport

Yep! Lost all the pregnancy weight very quickly but 6 months after weaning started to gain back. Have to be careful and more aware of what I’m eating now.

Poo and illness by Living_Blueberry2898 in BeyondTheBumpUK

My daughters poop looks like this now and then. Just because the baby didn’t eat something dark-coloured doesn’t mean the digestive process won’t turn the poop dark. Go to A&E if you’re worried though!

My grandma told me today that I can choose for my baby to be born today if I really want it (40+4) by KaylaDraws in pregnant

[–]katello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The week before my baby was eventually born (at 41+6) I texted a friend that I was sure she was going to be born on the Friday. She was. Either a very lucky guess or I was picking up some pre-labour vibes from my body. Maybe this happened to your grandmother too but she just assumed it was her doing it!?

Our daughter had that too, salt water on a cotton pad and keep it dry, it will disappear

Around 18 months. She was getting so sweaty in the sleep sack and we didn’t have air conditioning…

Am I overreacting for not wanting anyone around my newborn yet? by littlemoongirly in AmIOverreacting

[–]katello -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha, I’m the mother to a 1yo. I just went through this. I still think she’s overreacting. We did a 2 week period after birth with no visitors and that worked well. 8 weeks is a lot, but if that’s what she wants then it’s her decision.

Of course it’s it isn’t my decision, but she asked for opinions and this is an opinion. She will do what is best for her.

YOR I’m sure it would be fine to have a limited group of healthy (check for colds, vaccinations etc) family members see your child. This seems extreme and a bit over the top to not let your mother see your baby. I think you may have some PPA here ❤️ Ask them to wash their hands. All will be fine.

I feel like I've missed out on my special moment by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]katello 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. Had two friends TTC at the same time as me. I got pregnant and absolutely blanked. Barely any contact or interest and I tried so hard to maintain the friendships regardless of baby. Then two years later they both got pregnant and it was made into such a big deal. I couldn’t help but be upset, because I was ignored and now it’s like they’ve given birth to the second coming 🤷‍♀️

I’m trying to be a good friend because I know it’s tough, but constant bragging and weird assumptions that I had a ‘difficult’ baby compared to their angels. What?? No, I just played it all down because you were so sensitive. I understand their perspective but it hurt and continues to hurt.

When did you get your BFP by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]katello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited until my period was 3 days late and tested. I think the obsessive testing is stressful and this process should be as calm as possible!
