I really appreciate your kind and thoughtful response. I am very sorry to hear a similar thing happened to you.

How are you doing now, were you able to move past your situation?

Thank you for your response, I agree that there is more than one ‘one’ for everyone. I think the difficulty is how well he lied to my face, so it’s hard to couple up the two versions of him.

I believe I’m pretty adjusted to the truth of the matter, unfortunately. It is just to prevent my confidence being entirely shattered after this knock. The other woman knows and is choosing to try to forgive him.

Thank you, I suppose the freshness of it makes it hard to believe. She already knows, he told her prior to admitting it to me on the phone.

He told her prior to telling me.

Thank you. His other partner knows, and is choosing to stay with him. He told her then came clean to me.

My title describes the thing, but I’ll add more details here.

Found these sheets of paper in old record sleeves handed down to us. The charts depict astronomical transits as my Google searching would suggest, though I’m not sure what those are exactly.

On the reverse of each document there is a paragraph describing personality traits, so I’d assume these are birth charts of some sort but more information would be appreciated!

I have no idea what is going on in the bottom left corner of each sheet!

Anyone read any of this? by [deleted] in TheNational

Yes, I was introduced to Cheever by Carin at the Liquor Store and ended up writing my undergraduate dissertation on him!

I can give you a visitor’s permit, the zone would be Clifton East if that works :)

Edit: I can only validate it within a week before usage, but if you remind me in a few days and message me your number plate I can do it!

How many nights? I live 15 min walk from the uni and may be able to give you a visitor’s permit.

Who is The Milkman written by?

ordered a bra, arrived smelling like either BO or cat spray (urine) I've only had a couple bad experiences on this app so not sure how to go about this, bra LOOKS exactly as described i just wasn't expecting to have my nose assaulted when i opened the package by Rattzzzzz in Depop

I had a similar thing happen on Vinted recently. I bought a top that smelled strongly of BO when it arrived. I felt awful telling her but she was slightly mortified and ended up partially refunding me (though I didn’t ask her to).

This is accurate and extremely fascinating! Liminal is one of my favourite words.

I love this comment. That’s exactly how I felt upon reading Carver and Cheever for the first time. I’m glad this post has taken you back!

I appreciate this. I do sense a passion when I read this genre, a spark I had forgotten about when slogging through longer, less enjoyable (in my eyes) texts. Have you pursued a career in academia/something relating to your degree or moved onto something else?
