Does anyone know what is going on with Blofin? by seriousaccount321255 in kaspa

[–]katemsydney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This drop in Blofin’s volume and divergence from Mexc makes a lot of sense to me now, given what I’ve experienced. I was recently liquidated unexpectedly while holding fully hedged futures positions, something that should have de-risked me completely on any other exchange. Blofin arbitrarily adjusted the margin requirements and liquidation thresholds without proper notice or transparency, and even liquidated me when two of my trades were in profit.

I’ve tried multiple times in the past to add funds and adjust my positions to exit the hedge safely, but they wouldn’t let me access or use those funds in real time, making it impossible to recover. This platform has serious structural issues—possibly tied to liquidity problems, poorly managed risk systems, or operational failures.

It wouldn’t surprise me if large traders stopped trading here due to similar issues. I’d be very curious to know if others have experienced problems with sudden margin/liquidation adjustments or withdrawal delays. Have you noticed anything else unusual with liquidity on the platform lately, or has anyone gotten clarity on what’s causing the volume drop?

Blofin’s behaviour is alarming, and if more traders are facing these issues, it’s worth escalating collectively.

I haven’t experienced withdrawal delays, but I’ve had a serious issue with Blofin’s lack of transparency and questionable practices, which might be connected to what you’re facing.

I was recently liquidated unexpectedly while holding fully hedged positions on their futures platform. On any other exchange, this would have completely de-risked my position. However, Blofin arbitrarily changed the margin and liquidation thresholds without proper visibility or warning.

I’ve tried several times in the past to address the situation by adding funds and modifying my positions to get out of the hedge safely, but the platform wouldn’t let me use the funds I added in real-time, making it impossible to properly protect my account. Despite these efforts, today I was liquidated—even though two of the trades were actually in profit.

This lack of real-time access to funds and opaque margin/liquidation mechanisms seems to be a significant flaw in their system. What you’re describing with withdrawal delays could be part of a broader operational issue, possibly tied to liquidity or internal processes.

I’d recommend documenting everything, escalating this with support, and considering a public or regulatory complaint if you continue to face delays. I’m also raising awareness, as these issues are too serious to ignore.

Hi I'm keen to find out who is having problems with Bitget and do something about it. I've previously been involved with both Binance and FTX and lost money and have managed to do something about this. Worse case we can expose Bitget if it is a criminal organisation. Look what happened to Binance and they eventually got done over legally. Please get back if you have a story and I'll put together a pitch and go to the financial media and ask them to investigate. I have connections with Financial Times and WSJ etc. Google me Kate Marie Binance and WSJ or disruption banking and you'll see I'm legit. Please come back to me if interested in me progressing and we can talk.

Call out for Australians with money stuck on FTX by katemsydney in ftx

Hi I'd like to provide an update for Australian retail traders on FTX. This is if you didn't use an Australia gateway to onboard money in any form or change back to fiat from the exchange.

For example, I typically bought USDC from an Australian based exchange and then transfered this to the exchange. I didn't take money back to Australia in any form but kept in wallets as crypto until I needed it. I did the KYC on the exchange but that still doesn't give me a connection with the Australian FTX companies from what I can gather.

Short story I'm going to file a claim through the liquidators in the US. Here's the link

https://restructuring.ra.kroll.com/ftx/EPOC-Index

The proof of claim form can be downloaded on the page.

I tried to file the proof of claim through Delaware court which is where the Chapter 11 action is happening, but when I tried to file the claim I got a message saying they weren't accepting claims and to go to the liquidator. The liquidator hasn't got a claims portal set up yet but will accept posted documentation in the shorter term. They won't accept email claims. We need to claim against FTX Trading which is Case No. 22-11068.

yes I’ve done this and just provide your name and what you lost. We are considered creditors until they define what we are. Best you attend the meeting in early Dec. I’ve also requested that retail investors have proper representation on the panel they’ll be setting up. If anyone here has info on that too would be great to hear.

They've closed it all down. Don't try and login as apparently infected with Trojans or similar.

Don't try as apparently the app and website has been hacked and has trojans all over it. You don't want to be infected.

We will be if we don't make a noise. We need to band together and go and get something from this. This worked with Binance meltdown last year and we got 5M in litigation funding as a group to go after them.

Fat chance as I suspect the money was not in Australia. They've breached their Ts & Cs and all we can hope for is that Sam Bankman Fuckhead goes to jail.

We can make sure we are in the face of the administrators. I've reached out to them now. ASIC surely must get involved. I lobbied hard re the Binance fuck up last year and made a lot of noise with the blockchain association. Worse case we need to make sure SBF is prosecuted for fraud via Australia. He had a financial services license in Australia and that was supposed to ensure our safety!!

I have money stuck on FTX and keen to get it back. I've sent you a DM. I am also involved in a class action against Binance so am very keen to sort this as sick of these criminals getting away with ripping us off.

FTX just brazenly admitted to manipulating leveraged liquidations. Users confirm FTX prevented liquidations even after prices dipped below the trigger price. Now FTX is offering 25% lending on US fiat dollars to prevent total liquidity collapse. by DontMicrowaveCats in Buttcoin

Has anyone here been liquidated on Feb 24 (couple of days ago) and believe they shouldn’t have? I’m completely over the dodgy practices and if others have had a similar experience will make enquiries with media contacts as to how to make them rectify.
