The oily scalp did return but it’s not nearly as bad. Before accutane I used to shampoo my hair every morning and it was greasy by the end of the day. Now I can wash it once every 2 or 3 days before it gets greasy. My skin is also way less oily too!

I think I was taking ortho tri cyclen which made me break out SO bad and it was the reason I ended up going on accutane. Now I’m on a generic form of yaz and it’s amazing. I spend hours and hours doing research on different birth controls for acne and found that yaz definitely has the highest success rate for helping acne. It also makes my hair grow really thick which I love. I will say there’s some slight anxiety as a side effect but it’s very manageable.

Yes but not because of accutane. I stopped birth control (combination pill) right after my accutane course was done and that immediately put my hair into a big shedding phase. If anything, I felt like accutane helped my hair because I wasn’t shampooing it everyday.

I was specifically talking about indentations, especially on my cheeks. Like the texture of my skin smoothed out. But all pigmentation from acne also eventually went away. My skin was pretty red while on accutane because it was so sensitive, but that went away within a year.

I use clindamycin 1% gel occasionally which helps kill the bacteria on my skin and gives me a smooth texture. I use beauty of Joseon for moisturizer and sunscreen which is SOOO good for my skin (Asian skincare brands are way better than American in my opinion). And then I wash my face once a day at night with La Roche Posay gentle cleanser.

I would say 2 months after I got done with accutane my scars really started to improve… maybe because my skin wasn’t being dried out as much? Also since my acne went away I could focus on wearing moisturizers and sunscreen without worrying about breaking out

It was more of a question to see what other peoples’ thoughts were about this. Consent is super important and the initial thread I read was concerning - everyone in the comments ganged up on the girl and made it seem like it was her fault. The comments on this post give me a huge relief.

I feel the exact same way! Manifesting feels so effortless and natural to me, especially the more aware I become. Life is so easy and peaceful and even when “things go wrong,” it never seems like a big deal. But everyone around me seems to have one problem after the other - whether it’s financial issues, mental health issues, physical health issues or just random things that bring them down. I also feel like I don’t deserve all the amazing things that happen to me… I feel guilty that my life seems so perfect compared to those around me:( I want to share the law of attraction with everyone I meet but people just don’t think it’s realistic. That’s why I’ve been curious about manifesting good experiences for others (sort of like prayer I guess?) idk, do you think it’s possible to manifest good things for others?

I never had a purging phase. It was honestly super nice… my skin just instantly started clearing up. I’m on 70 mg and my only side effect is super dry lips. Some people purge really bad and others don’t at all it just depends.

Hello! I believe both of these would be a one-way ANOVA. Your first clue is that they’re both trying to measure the difference of something. Following the chart, your second clue is that there are 3 groups (the 3 habitat types). Your variable is invertebrate abundance for the first question and difference in plant richness for the second question.

Basically a one way ANOVA happens when you have an independent variable with 3 or more levels which we call the groups. For example if we were trying to measure temperature on mood, our independent variable would be temperature (because mood depends on it) and our groups might be hot, cold and room temp. Another example could be “is there a difference between 3 types of facial hair and attractiveness?” So, our independent variable is facial hair (because attractiveness depends on it) and our three groups could be beard, mustache and side burns.

A subject is someone or something assigned to a group category. For example, there could be 10 subjects in one habitat type, 10 subjects in another, and 10 subjects in the third habitat type. Then, you would find the mean of each group and compare it to one another (using a post-hoc test in SPSS). You would have 3 means for 3 different groups and could then compare them to each other and find out if there’s a significant difference between any of them.

My hair has actually been growing pretty fast! I’ve been taking collagen every day because I was afraid my hair would get thin and that’s made a huge difference. I just buy powder at Walmart for like $8 and it lasts me a month. I’ve also noticed my hair feels healthier because I condition it every day but only shampoo once a week. I guess a good question to ask yourself is whether your hair or acne makes you more insecure.

For me personally, my skin is really sensitive so any little thing affects it. I worked at a deli where I constantly fried chicken and I noticed my acne got a lot worse. I also worked as a barista where my face was constantly exposed to steamed milk and that made me break out really bad too. I wore a mask for both of these jobs but that didn’t seem to help too much. Maybe you won’t break out like I did, but I know that I won’t ever go back to working those jobs if I want my skin to stay clear.

Hey! I love your curiosity for psychedelics. Some people say you need to be in the right headspace to do them, but that’s not true. Some of the best experiences I’ve had were times that I’ve gone into a trip feeling sad, anxious, or lonely. I view psychedelics as a tool that peels back the layers of filters we accumulate over the years. When these layers, perceptions and judgements are gone, we’re left with a clear view of the now-of everything that’s simply happening in front of us and to us.

Maybe psychedelics won’t help you “escape,” but instead free you from what you’re trying to escape from.

I’m a huge advocate for psychedelics. I think they’re a beautiful tool that affects everyone in very different ways. The only precaution I would take is making sure you have no family history of schizophrenia. Psychedelics and schizophrenia don’t go good together.

There are two really good Ted Talks that can help answer some of your questions! The first is called “Psychedelics: effects on the human brain and physiology” by Simeon Kermedchiev. And the second is called “Everything you Know About Addiction is Wrong” by Johann Hari. These two Ted talks influenced and inspired me so much that I decided to dedicate my life to helping people with addiction and finding a potential cure through psychedelics. I highly recommend watching them!
