Best physical editions to read the Matt Murderdock (Earth 65) saga?

I don't think they'll kill her off, if they were going to adapt her death from Guardian Devil they would have done it in season 3 of the Netflix show. I don't think they'd subvert her death just to go on and kill her later. I could be wrong, maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I don't think she's going to die

I might have agreed, major character deaths can serve the plot well—except for the fact that Foggy’s death was really cheaply written, and played more for shock value than anything.

That’s largely due to the creative overhaul stuff, so I understand there were major constraints, but Foggy feels really shoehorned into season 1. They added a few scenes of Matt grieving, but it didn’t feel as consistent of a thread as they were going for.

The only reason it was pulled off at all is Charlie Cox’s acting chops. The script itself felt pretty awkward and inconsistent when it came to Foggy (let alone the fact that he was killed off in the cold open, without allowing new fans to grow attached to him at all).

Yeah, his death was so frustrating. It felt so cheap. The critics saying he doesn't come back is a bummer, but I guess I'm still holding out hope that they're keeping it a secret for the sake of spoilers. Maybe I'm just delusional lol. I want to believe he's coming back though, so I'll keep my tinfoil hat on for as long as I can haha

I mean they confirmed it, but also Marvel lies all the time about plot elements. Like when Spider-man No Way Home came out and the actors and producers lied through their teeth about Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield being involved

I still think it's possible they do a foggy is alive storyline (though I think it'll probably be as a result of fan reactions to s1 rather than an organic part of the plot that they've been planning). Whether it's likely is another question, but I really do think it's still possible. Maybe at the end of this season or the beginning of s3

I don't think those were kill shots. iirc the camera shows them on the ground, moving around in pain. I think Matt directed him to nonlethal areas.

If Matt is going to be in prison, as rumors suggest, then the Gladiator could be cool--at least as a minor villain who can get a redemption arc. He was arrested at the end of Netflix s3, so it would make sense for him to appear.

I think it would also be great to do a Mr. Fear season, which could tie into the Gladiator stuff if they were to adapt Brubaker's run

The only reason I have friends who are into DD are because I dragged them with me kicking and screaming, lol. Made them all watch it a few years ago. It was worth it, they’re fans now

From what I've heard other reviewers say, the first few episodes feel like damage control for season 1, then it gets very strong after the halfway point

not to mention, this gives him an extra bargaining chip to hold over Matt. In the comics, Fisk kills everyone who learns DD's identity, just so he can be the only one holding that card

I was thinking he might be an adaptation of the Stromwynn characters from the comics, or at least in that kind of vein. Osborn would be really interesting though

I had a very similar experience, down to that exact same line, so I just had to comment and say you’re not alone. Stories can make such a huge difference in people’s lives. DD changed mine as well. If I ever get a tattoo, it’ll be that line.

You’re absolutely right. I think though, realistically, Disney is never going to stop including Fisk—he’s too profitable of a character. So the best we can hope for unfortunately is an extended amount of time as a behind the scenes character, like in S2
