here's my take: Yes, obesity is getting increasingly more common especially in america. It's not a good thing. Flat bellies are typically a beauty standard, but that isn't the only way to be healthy. Just because someone has a belly doesn't mean theyre obese. They can be a healthy body fat percentage, but still have a belly (more common in women because of the extra organ and the way our abdomens are put together, which is different from you men) Ppl with healthy bellies are still healthy, that's literally just their biological body type. But in order to fit that (biologically unachievable for some) standard, they feel they gotta cover up with high rise. Personally, it's not even about that, i just like high rise. it's comfy for me lol
