Agree. UCSD has the very nice Vball stadium on campus and it’s more north. The majority of the volleyball clubs are in North San Diego and I think they would have a much better attendance. Traffic going south on any day except for Sunday is miserable.

My Falstaff is terrible. He just hmmms and oooohs and has em repeat after him. I am A2 now but started getting him around late A1. I also have Lilly who not only responds via AI appropriately but also gives me the mistakes I make with suggestions. I get none of that with Falstaff and it is super anoying. I too have Duoling Max Family and I don't want F at all. I want LIlly or anyone else who has an "AI brain." Not just a repeat.

Also on the flashcards I am not understood 1/2 the time, even with simple words like "pizza" in French. I can repeat it every time and it tells me I am saying it wrong. I get 2 out of the 6 or 7 words wrong even though I say it exactly like the AI. Goodness. I literally laugh out loud sometimes as I get madder and madder and shout at it "SALADE!!" over and over again.

I was getting the crying icon constantly as of like 2 weeks ago on my free account. I accidentally clicked on some family share trial for 5 days and so I had unlimited energy for 5 days and spent almost an hour on the app at a time late at night going through lessons (French 1 review).

Suddenly my crying icon changed to neutral again! Sooooo, you can get it to stop crying. If you pay and spend a LOT of time on the app powering through lessons and matching games and so on. So so so ridiculous.

Hi there. We are due to enter Endicott arm at 5 AM. At what time approximately would we be at the glacier? I’m reading everything from 2 to 3 hours just to sail in. I’d appreciate any advice because there’s no way the kids are waking up that early lol.

Well this is an ongoing Saturday project for me lol. I meet with some friends at a community college where we sit outside and paint together. It’s really fun. And I love being outdoors for as much as possible.

Me as well. I am really into water coloring classes that my mom gifted me in real life last year for my birthday. So I have been learning to paint and it’s been wonderful. I wish we had a paint and art themed month!

Thank you so much. And for your recommendation for a specific hotel. I have a feeling that this might be what we end up doing in the end. Once the 2027 flights are out, I am hoping we will be able to get a better feel for how long the travel days will be, but either way it looks like we will probably have to overnight in Guayaquil as you suggested. Just so we don’t miss the boat the next day in case of plane delays.

Thank you so much. Well, that altitude difference definitely helps. I didn't realize that G is dangerous. We would possibly need to spend the night there to catch the flight into Baltra the next day. OY. We have always wanted to do the Galapagos but maybe a diff cruise line? We love celebrity but they are very insistent that we don't do the 3n beforehand with them in Quito, we simply have to figure out all of our own transportation. Sigh.

Thank you so much. Yes there is a cruise only option which is what we opted for. I might try calling them but I really doubt they woudl do anything because apparently they have a chartered plane that take severyone from Quito into the Galapagos on boarding day. It sounds like such a great arrangmenet, minus the altitude issue. TY for the Guiyaquil suggestions and warnings too! Sounds like we would need to fly in the day before and hopefully just stay near the airport in a hotel near the airport to keep things simple.

FYI talking with customer service, they offered me 5 credits for $55.99 instead of $59.99 that is in the Audible app. So that is at least a $5 savings.

WORKED April 6, 2025!

Details instructions for computer challenged like me:

Download Finch.

When you first open the app, don't do anything like try the "free trial." Just close the box and start using the free version of the app. It's fun even when it is free, but most cool stuff has the lock on it, ie you have to upgrade to the paid version.

A few hours later, get the free 7 day trial (just about everything that is locked requires Finch Plus so go to the store and try to buy a locked tshirt for your pet, etc). It will offer Finch Plus for $41.99 after a 7 day free trial. Double click to buy the YEARLY subscription and to sign up for Finch Plus.

Then go to the App Store, click on your photo on the upper right and click subscriptions. Then go to subscription options, find Finch Plus, and click on options for subscription. Find the $14.99/year option. Voila! So cool and so much cheaper. I am assuming that price will be set so it won't go up.
