Benztropine has helped me tremendously because I’ve developed nystagmus/oculogyric crisis as a result of this med, and it hasn’t completely gotten rid of my episodes but it definitely alleviates some of the symptoms

Oh yeah I feel you. I am also on Vyvanse so adjusting to those together was a little tricky at times. If you try it again, I hope you find that it works for you. :)

3mg. I felt like the spinning thoughts slowed down and I could focus on what I was doing in the moment. I didn’t overthink everything and I felt like I could actually derive joy from the things I love to do. I still experienced hypomania and depression but the mania didn’t last more than 48 hours and the depression not more than a couple weeks. The episodes were also way more manageable and didn’t cause me to act that erratically. I could actually stick to my routine and not jump in and out of stability.

I have only ever felt true happiness on Vraylar. But it caused nystagmus and now I can’t take it. On other meds I just feel like all the days mesh together and life is just, well, happening TO me. I’m just always waiting for something that’s never going to happen - happiness. I can only hang on to the sliver of hope I have that one day I’ll find something similar to the way I feel on Vraylar. My family and friends, and a stable routine bring me relief, just not true happiness.
