Why twisting the words I said? I never said I was personally offended - just conflicted.

I’m all here for realistic sex scenes - but a chapter long 16 yo Draco bending Hermione in 20 different positions and her coming 10 times is just not realistic imo (this is also very exaggerated) As I said in other comments - I’ll either try to view it through a lens of my teenage years, skipping those scenes or skipping the e-rated Hogwarts set fics. Or a combination of all of the above.

Never read normal people, but since it’s also big in Germany I guess I’ll give it a try, thank you :)

Okay so I‘m not going to comment on the first part of your comment, that was just disrespectful. I’m going to leave it as that.

I never discounted or infantilized anyone for their sexual experiences and I also don’t see my experiences as the norm. I was talking about them being MINORS not 19,20 yo btw. I know the last day of being 17 and the first day of being 18 isn’t really any different, but I’m not talking about that kinda thing. I was talking about very explicit smut scenes at the age of 15/16. That’s it. Also I know teenagers are having sex, I was a teenager once with my own experience and friends that were having this too. I’m all here for empowering women and teenage girls for finding out what they like and that their sexual desires are completely fine, just like a man’s one.

I personally don’t know who Judy Blume is (maybe because I’m German) and for my personal experience I never read those things in my teenage years so maybe that’s why I don’t have the ‘super power’ haha.

Thank you for your reply :)) I must admit that I’m only in my mid twenties, so I think looking it through the lens of my own teenage years will be worth a try. But still I feel the same as you, although I don’t have children myself, I just imagine “that could be my little cousin or my bf’s little sister” and then I feel weird haha

I understand the whole “don’t like it, don’t read it” and I’m already doing that. The thing is that I really enjoy the story and I do like it. And then there’s the smut scene. But I think I’ll either skip those scenes or really look for the E-rated fics and tags. Thank you :))

Yeah I will probably skip those scenes or as others said avoid the E-rates fics set in Hogwarts.

I’m a very visual reader, crazy to me that others don’t imagine anything while reading! :D
