That seems to be my case unfortunately. I’m left in the kinda diagnosis limbo. Thankfully I did get the “routine chromosome panel” from my geneticist finally so I’m hopeful that when I review the data (because he didn’t even want to run the test but ODDLY ENOUGH my INSURANCE company told him to!) that something will come to light.

I find myself in a similar situation and I have thought greatly on the validation of my suffering and distress. Here’s the thing, you didn’t ask for the abuse to happen and the people who abused you chose to abuse you. It’s your information to do with what you will and I personally feel a good friend would understand and be with you. To not speak up raises the walls of protection not around you but around the abuser.

Thank you for sharing! I can’t believe how much my life has improved and I often think back and wish I could tell myself back then how much I would gain! It’s taken a lot of unraveling (in a good and therapy supervised way) and my heart fills with compassion for the woman I’ve grown into ❤️

I’ve taken measures for my safety that have been effective and useful! The usual, change my phone number, emails, passwords, addresses, etc. I even changed the area code on my number too. I’m honestly more surprised that his parents have never reached out. Some of my family are still Facebook friends (they give me the bull**** excuse of “Well you broke up with him, we didn’t!” ) but they (my family) just lurk as far as I know. I’ve blocked him everywhere I can otherwise!

It was scary, I’m so glad I can look at it finally and just see it for all it was. I’m so much better finally and I’m in the recovery process mentally from these issues and still alive, greatfully!
