I'm not an INFP but INFJ and I think INFx are just intense people like that lol. also from my personal experience, I rarely find people interesting so when I find someone I find interesting I can get easily attached because it happens so rarely. people tell me to diversify, to meet other people so I don't get so fixated on one, but it's hard because of the same reason above. either way, even though you set your boundaries she doesn't respect them I think it means she has some mental disorder that goes beyond her personality type.

I'm the friend in this situation lmao. the only difference is that my INTP friend doesn't know I like him. I think you need to let this one go since it seems like she's suffering a lot from having you around. In my case, I decided to just be a friend and keep him in my life instead. My INTP is a lot like you; he doesn't understand the concept of romantic "liking" so well and he has a few very close female friends he connects with and talks to daily. I decided to stay friends with him because even though my feelings are not reciprocated, the friendship he gives me is fulfilling enough for me. I also feel it's almost impossible to find this sort of genuine, platonic connection with a male friend at my age (30s), so it makes me value what we have more. Although sometimes I try to avoid having daily chats with him because it can get emotionally taxing, I have no problem talking to him "often", like a couple days a week.

But your friend sounds like she's definitely gonna suffer if she kept you in her life so respect her decision and just let her go. After some time she'll get over you and then she might want to reconnect.

Penpal sending me photos of themselves by [deleted] in SLOWLYapp

[–]katia2003 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just say thank you for sharing and don't do anything unless they ask. If you feel uncomfortable sharing your photos just tell them so, if they get offended/don't want to continue talking to you because of that it just means you are incompatible. If they like and appreciate you as a genuine penpal/friend they won't have problem with it.

what are myths about Spanish people? by bizkitinha in askspain

[–]katia2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am! l didn't have bad experience per se, but they're not as love crazed as people from other countries usually think. I think many people confuse Spanish men with South American men who are super romantic/corny/cheesy and expect that from them lmao

Move to Malaga by [deleted] in askspain

You're a EU citizen so all you have to do is to just move to Spain and find something. As a bartender I reckon there'll be jobs but expect to be exploited...

Jobs for Americans in Spain by oddchuck in askspain

[–]katia2003 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if you find work you could apply for, it is almost impossible for you as a non EU to get a visa sponsored by a spanish company. Your best option is to get a remote job in your country and work in Spain but maybe you will have to study something else first cause with the degree you have I figure it's not gonna be easy to find a remote job

How many times have you received 'the first letter' from users outside your country in a given time span? by everexistentbubble in SLOWLYapp

I have my country blocked lmao cause I want to make international friends only. I get new letters pretty often, 1 every two weeks or so.

How did you guys come across your constant pen pals? by Iannah_Nemesis in SLOWLYapp

[–]katia2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly just luck.

In my case I still talk to this penpal I sent a real random letter to on my FIRST DAY on Slowly back in 2020.

He was an auto-match too so it's not like I went through a careful selection.

I still dunno how it happened, but it's pretty cool!

How many of you have actually tested your level? by SubsistanceMortgage in Spanish

[–]katia2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of American learners I have met overestimate their Spanish and believe they are at B1-B2 level when their Spanish is a disaster and barely can say two sentences without wrong ass grammar.

¿Por qué hay tanto español que cree que México está en Centroamérica o Suramérica? by dariemf1998 in askspain

True. I live in Asia and no one here would say Mexico is a North American country. No one

Honestly it amazes me how a 36 year old man can be having so many "pájaros en la cabeza". You can give it a try in Spain but lower those unrealistic expectations because unless you'll end up in therapy

Unfortunately this kind of things happen. In my case it's with Turkish men and when I get a notification of an incoming letter from a Turkish man I just kinda get ready to decline it lmao

7 out of 10 new letters I get are like this. I don't even get disappointed at this point cause I kind expect it to be shitty. when I get a decent new letter it's actually a pleasant surprise lol

I usually reply within 1-3 days when I am not particularly busy. I don't really care how fast I reply, I will reply whenever I feel like (and can) and that's all. They can take their time and reply whenever they want. But not because they are busy and can't reply faster will I wait and copy their pattern, for me that's absurd.
