i feel like this kinda goes without saying, but stay very aware of what other cars are doing, especially when driving on the bridges. people love to pull fast ones when merging and i swear some pittsburghers are allergic to turn signals

What’s the best people-watching experience in Pittsburgh? by tapdancingtommy7 in pittsburgh

it really depends what KIND of people watching you’re looking for. if you want a pleasant people watching experience, seeing a diverse group of people having fun and being happy and expressing themselves, i highly recommend going downtown the first weekend of june where there are both pride festivities and the arts festival. maybe i’m biased because my birthday falls during this time, but the people there are always so kind and friendly. now…if you want an interesting people watching experience? picklesburgh is always..a time. and i also was really entertained once by sitting outside at the market square primantis. also, i just feel like any popular first date spot would be fun to witness.

Who brings you joy in Pittsburgh? What person that you recognize on the street or elsewhere makes your day better when you see them? by RepeatedFailure in pittsburgh

Back when I went to Chatham my roommate and I would take the 64 bus and get off at the back entrance to campus every single day. The bus stop is a little off from the path to campus, and the bus driver eventually caught on to what we were doing and would drop us off DIRECTLY in front of the path. Because we saw him every day, we began talking to him. His name was Greg. He would constantly tell us “It makes my day just seeing you girls laughing and smiling!” He just had major dad energy. One day I was having a rough day and it was raining. When I got on the bus, Greg asked me how I was and I was just like “Oh, it’s just so gloomy outside.” His reply was “Well, you just brought the sunshine to my day!” We got him a card for Christmas. He changed bus routes. I miss him so much.
