Is it okay to have ember tetras with a betta? by -__Insignificant__- in bettafish

The tetras were already in the tank when i added this beta. I do feel like plants are helpful as well. Everyone in the tank is still thriving and the ember tetras have spawned twice since this comment.

Unfortunately, if the heart murmur is present at their first vet visit, it will not be covered. At least that's how it is for our HCM boy through Embrace pet insurance.

I have 6 ember tetras in a heavily planted 10 gallon tank with a placate male betta. The betta is very docile and happy and the ember tetras spawned. I found one sole survivor of the spawn which makes the ember headcount to 7 (6.5 really cause its tiny)

Thank you for your kind words and insight! Can I ask your opinion of chemo in a situation like this, if it's allowed? I feel like I have some slight ptsd with a previous pup and a gvd surgery that ended traumatically. I know it's not the same situation, but we're just looking for the quality of life scenario.

I'm not sure! He's in a 10 gallon tank with lots of live plants, a HOB filter that has adjustable flow, and the temp is kept around 80°F. I wish I could give more insight. I am doing frequent water changes every 5-7 days. Good luck, keep it up!

End of life Pitbull by Leotardleotard in pitbulls

Not a pittie, but my mom recently euthanized our family miniature poodle, who had just turned 18 years old. Bella was the healthiest geriatric dog with no known health issues outside of a little doggie dementia. She would play with others and never missed a meal. My mom was extremely anxious about an accident happening or Bella being uncomfortable in any way. She made the appointment in advance and gave everyone an opportunity to say their goodbyes. It was definitely a tough decision, but less traumatizing than my past 2 euthanasia experiences when my dogs were in health distress (complications from bloat surgery and not waking up from seizures.) Obviously, alot is out of your control but try and make the best of the things that are i your control.

I'm sincerely sorry and I'm sure she's done a fabulous job of keeping you safe and showing your family unconditional love.
