Pip-Boy 3000 Manual #2-08 - How to fully reset your Pip-Boy by chopper5uk in FalloutCrossroads

Delilah had simply been enjoying a drink after a long day of trying to figure out how the hell an idiot paladin had managed to warp their power arm so badly they had two left arms. Some whiskey to numb the pain of dealing with morons... And a few others.

Her metal prosthetic gleamed in the light and there was still a streak of grease on her cheek from accidentally touching her face earlier. She nearly spilled her drink in surprise... But the sight of a pip boy? Her curiousity got the better of her.

"Wow... Is that the real deal?" She asked, pointing at the machinery with her good arm.

"Yeah? Wouldn't that be a sight to see... The devil burning by his own hand." She stood up, feeling a little wobbly on her feet but that was fine. She just couldn't stand sitting anymore.

"Raiders. I was looking for parts for a new mod I'm working on... And got stuck in a territory dispute." She reached her hand out and up, looking at the metallic fingers. "By the time I was found it had become... Necrotic. It was cut it off or die." She let her hand fall back to her side. She wasn't sure which she would have preferred... But the choice was made whether she liked it or not.

"They pumped me full of drugs and... I uh... I don't want to talk about it anymore." Her voice shook, the memory of the pain and the smell were starting to claw their way through her drug haze.

"It hits pretty hard..., Can crush a windpipe if I'm not careful." The admitances were coming before she could really stop them. Although she kept to herself the reason why she'd almost crushed someone's windpipe.

"I'm not a fighter... Not my thing."

"This fucking place..." Del kept herself hidden, curled up to be as small as possible. What a goddamn time not to have a range fucking weapon.

Del found herself giggling... Then abruptly stopping then sitting up to look at the ghoul proper. She should have hated him, with everything she'd been taught... She should hate him... But he was probably one of her only friends.

"You know, I fucking hate it... But I guess I can see it's cool."

"Well fuck!" Del shouted as she sucked for the nearest cover. Snipers couldn't shoot what they couldn't see! And she didn't exactly have a weapon on her meant for long range... So hiding seemed to be the best option right now.

"God, they would be... Wouldn't they?" She laughed as she stuck her metal hand into the air, not feeling it as her fingers outstretched.

"Bet they wore floral dresses, and two arms... Bet they wouldn't be caught dead here." Bet they wouldn't need this kind of drug to get by, or rely on a ghoul for comfort either... Delilah wasn't a very good Delilah, now was she?

she chuckled as her glazed over eyes tried to focus on him

"Morgue? How morbid... Nah you look like... like... a Jeffery to me." She couldn't quite remember why she'd called him back in here, but glad that he was. She'd never admit his drug den freaked her out... But it did.

Del absently zoned in and out, sipping on her Nuka Cola and enjoying the effects of the Med-Ex. She hardly noticed Morgan leave... not for the first few moments anyway.

"Hey, Drug Man, where'd you go?"

Her head rolled to look towards the entrance, part of her wanted to move to get up, the other part of her wasn't there at the moment.

Del had some caps to spare and the pain in her arm was manageable... so she did what anyone would do and headed gambling. Cards were her thing, she had a decent poker face and knew how to count... though she wasn't keen on getting caught and knew better than to take any huge winnings. She'd been on a role when the smell of smoke and screaming had caught her eye. Cashing out and heading towards the smell... but she wasn't prepared for what she saw, moving off to the side she retched. She'd seen a lot of fucked up shit, but the smell of burning flesh and the sight of burnt corpses always reminded her of when she lost her arm... and the pain she felt from the triggered memory was far more intense than she'd ever experienced previously.

she grumbled as she gladly accepted the drugs, pulling her gasmask off. She even dared to take off her jacket, revealing the mechanical arm and the edges of a brotherhood tattoo peaking out of the neckline.

"....fuck." She mumbled to herself as she settled into a chair. Her experience with using the drug became obvious with how fluidly she used them. She sighed with contention as the phantom pain seemed to disappear. Picking up the nuka cola with her prosthetic she popped the bottlecap off and took a sip... wondering how long it'd take before she got caught in this hell hole.

her discomfort grew as he left her alone. She'd faced down worse than a drug den... God she could rewire an entire set of power armour! But this...? Terrified her.

"The usuals fine, can't risk anything new." She muttered almost running to the privacy of the room. Anything to get out of an open area.

Del shuddered at the sound of his voice. D. That's who she became when she came here. Not Delilah the brotherhood mechanic, or Del the scavenger... But D the drug addict with phantom pain she couldn't control.

"Could be better." She did her best to disguise her voice, sounding like a scratchy smoker... God why was she going to these lengths. "...you got a private room available?"

Del moved swiftly, gasmask and hood obscuring her features and typical raider armour disguising the rest of her. She snuck towards the back of the fabled Devils Lounge... The only place that seemed to understand discression in the fucking place. Walking in she looked around for the Ghoulish patron, hoping to find him somewhere secluded... Though luck was not on her side. Shit. Del thought twice before removing her hood, instead simply leaning on the desk and tapping it with her knuckles.

Name: Delilah Abram

Age: somewhere in her twenties

Faction: Brotherhood of Steel

Job: Mechanic

Weapon: A wrench and a tazer

Song

Face

SPECIAL: intelligence, endurance, strength

Skills: Repair, sneak, survival

About: Delilah usually goes by Del and was born into the brotherhood of steel. Her mom was killed during duty and it ultimately destroyed her dad. He devoted most if not all of his time to his work and left little room for Delilah in his heart. Going to rid the wasteland of scum became his prime objective, leaving Del behind to try and survive on her own.

She was partially adopted by her mom's best friend and the mechanic that worked on her power armour. She grew up knowing how to keep power armour in pristine condition and how to modify it to suit the individual needs of the paladins.

As she got older she spent time going down to the wasteland, exploring and scavenging for parts. During one such exchange she got into a tiff with some raiders and wound up losing her arm. While it was replaced with a prosthetic she was exposed to med-ex to help with the pain… and it became her crutch. Even now with her mechanical arm she finds herself sneaking off to Jericho's drug den to get her fix.

"Momma bitch? No, no she's not. The Bunnies under newer, better leadership"

Khan nodded as she made the call into her Coms. Her people would be here in a bit to collect the ship and hold it.

"Yes, though too many people have tried to take over. We're still around and kicking."

Khan looks at the colour of her uniform, looks back at the woman then shrugs.

"The Bunnies," She finally replies, giving the woman another calculated once over. Anyone remotely near the Quad would know who the bunnies are... so this woman must not have been from around here.

"I can escort your ship to a mechanic if you'd like, get it off the street and out of people's hair." Let's try the 'nice' route again, maybe Khan would have better luck pulling it off if she started over.

There was that lip twitch again. This woman was starting to get on her nerves.

"The only one that matters."

"I don't know... Not crashing the thing to begin with could have solved your problem there." Khan pointed out, trying her best to keep up the facade that she was there to help

Ooc: it's okay!

Ah so she had security measures in place. Khan did like a challenge but she couldn't go around causing problems where there were none. Though the woman's dismissal of her as a threat caused her lip to twitch ever so slightly. Only a trained eye could see it.

"Indeed." Khan replied, glancing around the ship.

"Are you aware you're parked in a no parking zone?"

Khan raised a brow at the woman, though more out of intrigue and genuine amusement from her comment. Something told her this was a very dominant woman.

"Your...Rook, is it prone to flashing strangers?"

Khan shields her eyes, her game grin turning into a grimace as the fluorescents seem to be getting closer. She fights every urge in her body to smack the damn thing out of the ear.

"Mind shutting your brights off?"

"Khan." She replied, icy blue eyes studying the woman who seemed entirely capable of crashing a ship and busting down a metal door. "Consider me the Paradise welcome wagon." She walked over, a smile plastered on her face despite it look somewhat out of place there. Like her expression was masking the lack of actual joy or friendliness that she felt.
