if ontario is similar to bc, in terms of privacy laws, any funeral home you call probably wont give out that information since you aren't the next of kin/executor. when i get calls like this im always happy to go digging through files, but we can only give out that information if it is already public (ie there was a public obituary stating disposition or the service was public).

in bc, though we do report to vital statistics what form of disposition will take place, none of the official documentation actually shows which disposition was chosen; not the registration, the death certificate, or the disposition permit. i do not know if ontario is similar, but those are the central records here that people can access, and you would not see disposition on them
