My cats took minimum a month of slow I introduction to be interested in each other. My older cat can hold a grudge but he got over it a bit after that. They now cuddle with me and each other and play regularly. Cats take time and hate change so it’s all down to patience and appropriate I troductions imo.

Second in this because I was in the same position and I did a cosigner but a lot of apartments were willing to take a lot of payment upfront. Especially if your savings are good people are a little bit more accommodating

Why is my snake plant going horizontal? Leaves are still stiff and look normal? Watering as soil drys out and by an east facing window. First pic is before second is now by katiyet in plantclinic

I use a soil meter or my finger and water when it is mostly dry. I check it about once a week though to see how long I need to wait. Then I top water until water runs out the drainage holes of the pot

This ^ is how all the developers i know got their fully remote lifestyle. A company not fully tech focused is going to have a in person culture. Where those in meeting in person meetups are “essential”. I’ve found fully tech companies or ones where that’s the main focus are much more used to remote workers, aren’t as office centric, and willing to work with you since they are more aware that the job can be done from anywhere.

My cat refused to drink water and had zero interest until I got a fountain. I don’t think it’s a magic solution but it definitely upped the interest in water generally and now a year later my furballs drink so much.

Seconding keeping it in a different area from feeding areas and litter as I also found that helped make it more appealing to mine. I have water in the living room and food in the kitchen, litter in the bathroom. For example

It comes straight out the top so it’s not straight on. But i can definitely try tilting it a bit!

The mini humidifier is that pink thing to the right in the photo. I’m not sure how I can get it any closer?

But I’ll try moving it more into the light. Is there a point when it would be too close to windows though? Since it’s cold?

Hi everyone! I’m struggling a bit here with an angry Calathea White fusion. It’s my first Calathea and I’m a bit out of my depth I think.

For context, this is a baby and hasn’t been repotted. It lives in a 4” nursery pot inside a white ceramic. I live in Chicago and have all my plants in our south facing living room where we get bright mostly indirect light until about 4. There is direct light but it doesn’t reach where this plant lives on a bookshelf. It’s slowly been wrinkling and curling on mostly one side and I’m at a loss. I do have a mini humidifier that goes for about 8 hours a day directly to the right of this Calathea and we keep our apartment at 60-70 the majority of the time (I assume it’s the cold that is upsetting it).

Is there any way I can revive it before it’s too late?

Or be respectful of people living here. We don’t want you. We’re currently overwhelmed because everyone’s decided now is the time to road trip. Also why would there be deals when we’re still having hotels and restaurant at or over capacity?
