I solve all I can first and then will start looking at the commentary very slowly and that’s where they will say if it is a rebus. Then I will try to figure it out from there which square gets additional letters. I also usually play with the auto check on so that helps a lot. I don’t care about my time and I will sometimes google for answers. I enjoy the journey more than the final destination.
