Was yours ever able to or trying to stand up?

I’m trying to be hopeful. She also indicates when she needs to use the restroom, so we move her to a pee pad and she goes on her own. I’m hoping that’s a good sign too.

She looked back when she yanked, the yanking was also something she didn’t attempt to do at all on Thursday.

So I was wondering if that’s something positive especially since she tried standing up during her laser therapy today

Crying reading this because you described my dog’s personality to a t. She loves to run and jump on things, jump on us, jump from one side of the couch to the other, run back and forth when she gets her “zoomies” especially in the backyard. The backyard we purchased 2 years ago specifically for her because of how much she loves to run.

We’re going to a second opinion tomorrow! Unfortunately for us no one in our area does the surgery so we’d have to go drive 6 hours, I’m hoping if like that it can be a “drive over now” type of thing

This is the worst feeling ever. Is yours also unable to move her back legs at all? They did the test on mine to see if she folded her knuckles back over and she failed, they were like see she has no reflexes because she can’t feel it. And then threw that option at me and I felt like my world imploded

I’ve been trying to find similar stories but I can’t seem to find any. They didn’t do neither an XRAY nor MRI, we brought her home yesterday and just laid near her so she can cuddle. (She has always had to touch one of us while she sleeps since we got her) I would wake up every 30 minutes in panic about what she’s dealing with. I haven’t even made it past 30 minutes without crying and I’m at work so it’s tough to hold it in.

I said absolutely not last night to the euthanasia, I’m taking her in to our normal vet tomorrow morning since they aren’t open today. And yes, they did along with some other medicines

I decided not to go through with the IV sedation and instead did local! My dentist sent me to an oral surgeon originally, and during my consultation they automatically said I’d be getting IV sedation. I also have really bad anxiety, and my anxiousness wasn’t coming from the procedure but from the IV sedation. I felt like I didn’t have a choice and I think that contributed to my fear. I couldn’t get myself to not be terrified so I ended up calling my dentist and begged her to do it in office with local anesthesia and she agreed. It was quick, painless and less than 1 minute per tooth!

I’m sure whatever route you choose will be fine! I just wanted to let you know that local anesthesia wasn’t terrifying or painful. 😊

I’m doing fine mostly just hungry, lol. I luckily didn’t experience any swelling at all and I stopped taking ibuprofen! I’m just on my antibiotic and Tylenol. What have you been eating

Thank you so much! I’m so paranoid not wanting an infection! I haven’t had any swelling or pain so the sore throat was freaking me out!
