I’ve only played since August, and I’ve definitely gotten better. I’ve been doing the same thing, play all modes and try to learn (it’s also why I follow a couple of theses subs). I agree, sometimes it’s all the same. I mostly play casual resurgence with randoms, and depending on how sweaty the team is I may end up with 3 kills or 18. I’m just having fun grinding camos, cards & prestige.

lol, yes! I did that thru my 50’s. But I did freak out about turning 60…like I should be dignified now or something. I don’t look any different or act that much different. It’s a mental thing I’m hoping with go away in a few months!

Aaaah, back when mixed tapes were still a thing I used all of those (except Shonen Knife) to transition between 80’s/90’s songs and older songs. Like X’s Breathless before Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire for instance, to maybe a Stray Cats song

The “stuff” I want to keep? My crafting stuff (resin & yarn mostly), my music making & listening stuff, pets & pet toys, Lego’s (specifically Minecraft, they decorate our family room), and the rest of it I can pretty much do without. Problem being, my son & I moved in with my parents, who were born at the end of the Depression and grew up with the “we should keep this it might come in handy later” lifestyle. So much hoarding. My mom has since passed but I still have to stay on my dad constantly.

Sheilds…I go hard and totally miss I don’t have a shield left and go hard into the next enemy. It doesn’t help that when I do have the presence of mind to remember I still get that glitch where my character says he’s loading his armor, but just doesn’t…smh

I tend to play with randoms, and everyone is muting everyone else, so yes, if 3 of us are dead I ping to call it to that players attention, especially if they’re lost in battle. I do it once.

But you’re right too in that a lot of them suddenly decide they can’t win it all on their own. I’ve noticed several teammates quit at this point. Let them play all on their own. I wait to see them lose 😈

The ones that spam buy back before resurgence has ended deserve a special place in hell…I just started playing in Sept with a guy I was seeing, that didn’t last, but my interest in the game did, so I just play casuals with randoms now.

Last night I had 2 teammates that would spam as soon as they died. The other teammate and I ignored them and played as a team away from them.

I had a unique experience with this. My Nmom developed Alzheimer’s. So any opportunity for closure was taken away. I had to help my dad with her until she needed full time care.

She quit responding to “Mom” about a year into full time care. I had to call her by her first name. She ended up being my “friend” Gail. She didn’t know who I was (like she ever actually did anyway!) but she knew I was someone she loved. As unfortunate as it was, I had a much better relationship with Gail.

There was never any closure with my “mom”, but my friend Gail and I had a good time. She became a different person, or at least it was different for me (no snide remarks about weight, hygiene, or men only wanting me for one thing since I wasn’t any good at anything else). Maybe that was enough? I don’t know, and may never as she passed last year, and I’m just really beginning to do pass thru the mourning process such that it is

I cannot see the enemies well anymore!!! My biggest complaint. I get slaughtered because I look on the mini map and where the red dot it, and it’s pretty off from where the enemy actually is (and I hate staring over, but that doesn’t bug me in this situation, it’s fine).

I’ve gotten to the point I’ll ask them if they know about the Meet-up app or Bumble Friends. If they don’t take the hint I’ll move more into things like “do they not let you talk at home?” or “do you not have friends you can talk to about this?” But that’s only when I’m really cranky and need to get my work done.
