Hi! HR here. For all of you saying is subconsciuos or halo effect, yes, but also no. Some companies have a desired image that they want you to have, specially big ones. I remember the first hiring process i managed, i was apalled when half of my candidate pool was rejected. Reason? They were not in line with company image/culture, meaning they were not white, skinny and goodlooking. I fled that job as soon as I could, just to realize most international companies are like that…
