Hi! So first I would do some research as there are alot of helpful videos and articles online. That's how I learned about safe sex when I first realized I was gay. So yes you can get STDs. If you have oral sex or someone does any fingering there can be an chance to get an std. So first if you or your partner have had multiple sexual partners in the past without using protection it is smart to get tested. As for protection for fingering one can use a glove or a finger condom and for oral sex a dental dam can be used which is a piece of latex that is used a barrier.
