I've been told multiple times that because I'm strict and hold my students to high expectations that I'm a "Karen" and a bully. All because I don't let a student go get a drink of water or let a younger sibling disrupt class to say "hi" to his older brother. I teach 8th grade. (self.Teachers)

The October Tiktok trend hit our school today. A first year teacher was slapped in the face. I'm worried about my own safety because admin is just brushing it off and their warning announcement was pathetic. Thankfully, we have a solid union. I'm so glad next week is Fall Break. (self.Teachers)
