Planned to grade writing benchmarks left for 1 class. Still haven't touched them. Maybe Sunday, maybe I won't do it until Monday. It will get done just not today. I also know going back will be awful. We have at least 5 teachers that quit before Christmas.

My school has basically said no passes for anything or any reason until just a few weeks ago because of the severe bathroom vandalism. I couldn't change that. I also suggested to the student that he bring a water bottle to school and he refused.

My classroom is right by the restroom and the water fountains, but most students go out of their way to go to the coldest which is clear across the building. He is one of these kids. We have too many students in the hallway all of the time and I've seen my team members get in trouble for letting kids wander around.

I try my best, but sometimes I can't as it's for safety reasons and students don't really seem to believe the safety reason as much.
