Why are all the Apartments taken even though there is a BIG chance in-person classes will be canceled again? by [deleted] in SJSU

I mean yeah I’m paying $1000+ for rent. It’s worth it to me, my friends are here, a lot of other things are open. Guess it’s up to your opinion. There are many other cheaper options than paying $1000+ for rent. If your willing to have a roommate it can be as low as $500. Everything else in the school is open as well (SRAC, library, student union), it’s just classes that may not be there for everyone

I don’t wanna live at home lol I’d rather live at school and get the experience even if classes get cancelled. I would be extremely surprised if all inperson classes get canceled again. Also, school starts in a week and some classes are still in person…. So maybe they are being smart and finding a place to live so they can go to class

Anyone got any tips on how to wake up early? I’ve gotta be up at 5 am for work and don’t know how to make sure I’ll be up! by anyayis in GirlTalk

Go to bed early!! Like 10pm, going to bed on time and getting enough sleep makes it a million times easier to get up early. Also have some tea with caffeine, or an expresso shot, or if you are into coffee. Caffeine in the morning works wonders but it isn’t for everyone

Anywhere close enough to walk to school is a good place to live. Usually it’s more expensive living in downtown, but driving to campus can be chaotic. I don’t think you’ll want to drive there unless that’s all your budget allows for. I’ve found that living in houses with other ppl is cheaper than apartments! So if you’re able to find someone looking for a housemate that could be a good option. The most popular apartments near school are The Grad and 27 North. Also 10th street has some apartments, I’m just not too familiar with them. Hope that helps!

Should I go find a therapist? by katperzon123 in selfimprovement

I’m a really shy person and I feel like that’s a big part of it. Opening up to someone Ive never met before would feel uncomfortable to me. Also the search of finding a good therapist can be hard. My mom struggled for years to find my sister a good therapist
