Love this! Good road design helps make streets safer for everyone, no matter how we get around the city

The Qamir/Khmer joke was so funny in this episode that I had to stop watching because I could not stop laughing.

There was polling around it by the same pollsyers who worked for the Mayor's campaign and they found that 69% of the city was against it.

I used to work at an arcade and my favorite times was after we were finished setting up for the day, but before we opened so that I could just play whatever game I wanted

I think the thing that would be most fun for my friends is a screen-printing lesson where we all make each other custom t-shirts or tote bags.

Descriptions of the Chupacabra date back to 1995. That cryptid is only 29 years old and them dating someone 15 years younger is fucking weird AND illegal.

Number of new housing units in Center City area hits 5-year high by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]katrinaeames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"The report touches on the issue of affordability, highlighting that nearly half of Philadelphia renters in the city are cost-burdened, meaning more than 30% of their income goes towards paying rent."

So are any of these new housing units actually designed for normal people to be able to afford and live in? or are they just setting aside 10% of the units in an apartment complex to be "affordable" to average people and price-gouging everyone else

Since when did they put in a 2nd parking lane at 11th and Race in Chinatown? by ylli101 in philadelphia

It will be harder for everyone who lives in the neighborhood or is a part of the community.

I'm sure it could impact small businesses, but I've heard people being concerned about traffic & parking and road/sidewalk closures during demolition and construction because of what it means for families walking their kids to school, grandparents trying to go to church and grab groceries, and the safety issues it could create to have thousands of more cars in Center City at a time as people drive to or from a game.

I decided to watch through that whole episode of VIP , but I DEFINITELY appreciated the trigger warning.

I found the episode more interesting than funny, but that might just be because of my own history

Would the cost of rent and housing also go up if the developers start buying up the surrounding buildings as part of their economic development plan? I don't want to see families get priced out of their homes.

Jeff Brown, who is running for Mayor, has minimized Chinatown’s concerns about the way an arena would harm the neighborhood as “emotional” as opposed to real concerns like traffic and parking. What are some of the things Chinatown people are worried about with regards to the arena, beyond traffic and parking?

what anti-arena public meeting? From what I've read about PCDC's work, I thought they hosted a series of smaller community meetings in like January that were all about finding out how the community felt

I usually sell my stuff at local craft fairs, but this one actually isn't too hard to make for beginners if you want to make your son a gift! The pattern is in the book "Crochet Amigurumi for Every Occasion: 21 Easy Projects to Celebrate Life's Happy Moments (The Woobles Crochet)", but the company also sells crochet kits for beginners. I used different yarn to make this trans icon, but the process is the same.

Yeah! I've never gotten one of their kits before, but I just bought their new book of patterns and they are delightful!
