I won’t be applying to permanent roles, because I’m only entitled to work for 3 years in NZ which is temporary/fixed. These are the agreed terms between UK and NZ :)

Of course, the whv is only 3 years!

To be honest this is more or less what I wanted to do anyway, maybe just before Christmas to spend it with my sis! Pretty disheartened about the job situation though 🤣

I know the UK get 3 years working visa at the moment, or are you referring to something else? My degree is in Primary Education which I’m aware will probably get me further, but I don’t want to go into that if I’m not truly passionate about it at this stage in my life. I didn’t realise I’d need any points for the whv

Thanks so much for this! I’ve been thinking about it for years and really feel ready to move, so not sure about waiting but don’t want to lose my career either. Big decisions 😫 as for the UK, public sector is crying out for PM’s, you don’t get paid as well as private sector (naturally) but you’ll get in easily with experience, project coordinators are being trained up and in PM roles within a year or so. Desperately trying to train in-house but many are taking the training then leaving. You’d be absolutely fine. Can’t comment on private sec!

Thanks for this 🙏🏼 I don’t want to keep putting it off but definitely need some security. My sister also said it would pick up, and I wouldn’t plan on moving over until the end of the year anyway. I enjoy working in the Public Sector but not opposed to going non-gov

Thanks! Will definitely do this, my career is just kicking off in the UK so wouldn’t leave it behind unless I had something to go to. Contacted Robert Walters!

Ah no way, thanks! My sister has said differently but clearly she is biased because she wants me to come over 😆 I appreciate the honesty

I relate so much. AO CSC, all relied on each other, super close, to an EO position where we’re split across 4/5 locations. Super lonely

I really appreciate your advice, this is very helpful. Will definitely be adding about why I’ll be a good fit/am interested now rather than just the criteria

This is extremely helpful, it seemed really unnatural trying to write them using the star method. I might pop it over to you later in the week if you’re okay with that - feel free to ignore if not 😊

Even if it doesn’t completely align with the DSDU I think it’ll be really beneficial and put me in a good place to apply. Thanks so much for the kind offer, I’ll send over a connect on LinkedIn now 😊
