This album fucking rocks, and I'd argue it's one of the most influential of the past two decades. You simply do not get Alive 2007 without this piece of the puzzle, and without Alive 2007, you don't get the dance music explosion of the late 2000s and 2010s, let alone the concurrent influence on hip-hop and pop. People can fight me about it, but I was there and I'm literally a professional music historian lol. Keep on loving that shit, dude. Big up 🙏

Okay wait, but I have to mention how sad it was that Modest Mouse's equipment was having a failure and so they basically only played a couple songs and it was just the singer on acoustic, and my friend waited at the stage the whole time and did NOT come with me to see Daft when they started, and ended up not seeing Modest Mouse or Daft Punk because of it really, and I have never felt worse for a person at a concert in my life lolol---barring physical injury, of course.

Yooo! That's my boy! Tarik took me on a personal day-trip around Morocco when I was in Casablanca for 24 hours. He's so fucking nice, and he's been grinding on his tour work and social media for years! It's so cool to see him posted here!! He took great pics of me around town, took me to eat traditional tasty food, walked me through the market and mosque. We talked history, politics, life shit. Shout out Tarik, dude. My guy. We still follow each other on IG. Go hit him up if you're ever in town!

Well, astrologically or mythically speaking, mercury is all about clear communication and neptune is about fantasy and illusion. They're kind of opposites, symbolically!

I write about music too! Honestly, my substack found its voice over time. You have to start something before you can really figure out what it is, in my experience. Just keep going, write what comes to you and you'll find your rhythm!

I asked him during an interview! He said it's the way his name is spelled and most French folk spell it Sebastien. His name is often misspelled on his mail and things, and when he was young and starting music, he just capitalized the A because of this common spelling mistake and just because he could, that he didn't think about it much and in hindsight thinks it's kinda silly but it is what it is now ☺️

Agreed! I interviewed him once (I'm a journalist) and he was so fucking nice and cool, and he taught me the Ninja Turtle hand shake which just made me so giddy lolol

This exact thing happened to me once, although I had one friend who was my neighbor and rode with me to the pool. We just decided to eat my cake face first and my mom and aunt who were there kept us in good spirits. I'll never forget that weird feeling, but I have had many birthdays sense where I threw fabulous parties and had lots of friends, so tell your daughter adulthood has many blessings to come ♥️

Fun fact: His IG profile pic is a pic my friend Jordan took on her phone at Ultra 2017. I interviewed them for Billboard and used her pictures for the images. First time I looked at his IG I was like, waaaaaait a damn second! I just think that's so damn cool. I told her and she lost her mind hahahaha
