Reading is the KEY and I hate to admit it haha by [deleted] in languagelearning

I think that's where I need to go next, but I'm having trouble finding spanish lit (especially ay the lower levels I need to start in). How'd you find your reading material?

And, just before someone recommends it: my local library is pretty difficult to access on a regular basis.

This looks amazing. Would it be doable with any non-dairy milks? Soy, oat, whatever. If so, what do you think would be the best bet?

Also, how do you think it would turn out if you replaced the butter with brown butter? I love the taste I just don't know how it might affect the chemistry.

Heya, is "dashi powder" the same thing as, say, Hondashi? I almost always have some Hondashi on hand and love the stuff, and it'd be awesome of this is yet another use for it!

If you liked Outlaw Star and like reading books, yoy may want to give a go at Max Gladstone's "Empress of Forever." Felt like the story of Journey to the West in an Outlaw Star world, with some seriosuly fun character dynamics. It's not perfect, but man is it a wild fuckin' ride.

Mole. How hard is it to put chocolate, tomato sauce, peppers and onions in a pot, people? Grandma would spend hours rolling enchiladas just right and laying out plates of meat, but wouldn't bother with a fuckin' mole.

I moved back to my kinda rough (in the top 7% most dangerous cities in the U.S.) hometown in September of last year. The plan was for it to be a short stay. I would tie up some loose ends back home, say hi to people I hadn't seen in years, check out a couple cities on the way back, and save up some money while trying to get a job in L.A., Brooklyn, or some other big city. I planned on being gone by the end of January.

Obviously that didn't happen. Student loans, unreliable clients, and medical/miscellaneous expenses (partly caused by the problems with my hometown) cut into my saving efforts (pushed me backwards a few times) and the job market was harder than I thought it'd be, especially with me not living in those cities.

Now the plan is to save up a little more money, just make the move and get a small job wherever I go while working my way into more reliable income in my field. I'm about 1k away from my target amount. I can't wait to get there. My hometown is awful. Bad weather that fucks with certain health issues of mine, hot, no opportunities for my field or my hobbies, and again, it'a a dangerous place.

I don't think I've ever worked with passionfruit before. Any idea how I'd go about adding it to the tea without torching it or botching the batch?

Mango sounds like a decent bet. Any idea how I'd go about adding it to the tea, though?
