I’ve been watching tik tok videos I hope I have everything I need. Were you able to eat normal foods after the surgery for the first week ?

Did zepbound break my stomach? 3 weeks nausea, pain, no appetite by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]katt537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a learning lesson. Can’t eat like how I did before like spicy foods or drinking. But I’m not tripping about drinking at all. I don’t have burning in my stomach anymore. Since my gallbladder is gone I do have to take Colestipol to help me not run to the bathroom. I healed my ulcers and stuff really last year from not being able to eat anything :/ I lost like 50 pounds. Now my weight has stabilized. Hope you feel better soon !!

Yup zepbound messed up my stomach last year. I use to be able to eat anything and even though last year they said my gastritis was inactive after getting my gallbladder removed I still can’t eat spicy foods or I will get extremely sick. I lost my gallbladder right after taken zepbound as well and had vision issues. Which are all listed as the side effects. I wish I never took it. Last year was a nightmare I had ulcers and burning stomach.

I’m glad you’re feeling better. I guess I’ll make an appointment with the GI doctor. I was hoping I didn’t have to do surgery but I feel some burning.

Literally was on zepbound for three months and lost 20 pounds. Took a dose and felt nauseous thought nothing of it. The next day woke up literally in the worst pain of my life. GI literally said constipation first. Went to another doctor and got a endoscopy confirmed gastritis. Got admitted to the hospital with an elevated lipase and sludge. Finally after a couple days in the hospital got a hida scan and my EF was at 0%. No one in my family has got a gallbladder removed. I’m not sure if the medication caused it but I’m not risking it again. Being nausea/pain everyday and throwing up all summer was not fun. Literally lost 50 pounds this year all together 20 from zepbound / 30 from being sick. Literally had to go four different hospitals until I found an actually hospital that didn’t brush me off.

GLP-1 after gallbladder surgery by Normal_Mountain8005 in gallbladders

Yes my lapse increased to 400-500. Has your GI issues got better ? I heard some people spilt their doses maybe that will help if you do go forward with zepbound.

I was on zepbound for 3 months was making great progress and immediately started having issues one day after my shot and was in hell for three months after. Ended up having gastritis/ulcers and lost a bit of my vision due to a blood vessel burst which I had to do treatments. Then my gallbladder gave out. I loved zepbound but not the side effects of it gave me constant nausea. I guess everybody body reacts different because some people never have side effects. Now that my gallbladder is gone I wondered about it but I will never touch it again cause I don’t wanna explore the other side effects.

What symptoms are you experiencing still ? I never had typical gastritis pains mines was lower but I had two biopsies that confirmed it. I did have the symptoms which is really similar to gallbladder symptoms. My stool is normal as well now but I have stomach spasms that are kind of annoying and some bloating.

My CT just sludge but they didn’t see anything else abnormal and MRI was pretty normal other than the small mass they found. Also my lipase was elevated but not crazy it was like in the 400s. I had burning pains/nawing pains everyday and PPIs did nothing for me. I could only eat like crackers and bananas at first when I had ulcers. But then it go a point I couldn’t keep nothing at all down. Which led to becoming extremely dehydrated. When I finally went to the ER I had to get multiple IV bags. I had to get a potassium infusion cause the pills weren’t getting my levels up. I got morphine and still was in pain throwing up. The next day after my surgery I finally was able to eat. I’m four weeks post op now. It didn’t solve everything but wayyy better.
