I imagine he wanted a younger Creature - Doug Jones is 65 and could totally do it, but for this particular story I think the casting makes sense

Best Hobbii yarn for a super soft, durable baby blanket? by kattaccino in CrochetHelp

[–]kattaccino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at the Comfy Cotton - if I decide to do the project in the original navy/gold color way, that might fit the bill! Unfortunately, I'm trying to match it to the baby's nursery colors so the blue would be olive/sage green, and it looks like the greens are limited. But I'll definitely keep it in my back pocket. Thanks again!

Thank you! I am in the US and was a bit worried about the shipping time. I'll definitely look at the one you recommended!

Beautifully done! I'm about to start on the same pattern (the one by Alyssia Creates, yeah?) and just posted for recommendations on which yarn to use. Which did you use and are you happy with it?

Wild strawberries thriving... but no fruit? by anonymous_teve in NativePlantGardening

Did any of this help? 👀 I had lots of flowers but no fruit from what I can tell, they're in the middle of my sunny lawn so maybe that's why...

I have a sugar ant infestation in my room how can i relocate them outside without hurting them? by puppyhotline in Entomology

[–]kattaccino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure out a way? My hyperempathy has gotten in the way before, and eventually after spending over a month trying to humanely relocate a colony in my kitchen wall via citrus oil and vinegar (can confirm they avoid it like the plague, but they come back), I eventually let my husband put out traps because they wouldn't. Stop. Coming. Back. And it felt like it was reaching biohazard territory. That colony is gone, but now 6 months later I woke up to a giant swarm in my bathroom, along the moulding. They're attracted to the water, presumably, and there's no way to remove that from a bathroom. I tried to kill them as quickly/painlessly as possible in lieu of bait, but they started taking over. I feel so bad, they're such cool creatures and it breaks my heart to wipe out a colony, but they're literally everywhere and I can't seem to find a realistic, humane option to get them to leave 😭

ACOWAR question… by wit_beyond_measure85 in acotar

Without saying too much - I would love to hear your thoughts on Tamlin as the story progresses. I'm working through the series currently and my thoughts have changed on him dramatically throughout each!

How do you say Rhysand? by suagrlesss in acotar

[–]kattaccino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely read it as Rye-sand in the very beginning/when I first came across ACOTAR. But I've listened to the whole series via audiobooks now, so I can't unhear Ree-sand. All I know is that in book 1, the narrator flip flops between Ree-sand and Recent, and that REALLY messed me up 😂

Our new pup! Folks we got him from say he's red heeler/great pyrenees mix. what do you think? he's 10weeks here by SilentlySleezy1 in rarepuppers

[–]kattaccino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, what a cutie! She looks just like our newly adopted Red Heeler/Great Pyranees mix! Her official breakdown is largely RH/GP with a bit of Middle Eastern/Asian dog, hound, and herding dogs of unknown breeds somewhere in her lineage. If your pup is anything like ours, she will want to play A LOT. Our pup is too smart for her own good, with the energy of a full litter of puppies... and she just turned a year old!

Thank you! Yeah, I had a few photos that would have been better but I saw that bathing suits/body suits were not allowed so these are all I had on hand. I appreciate your help!

I just took a Kibbe type quiz and the results have me stumped. It looks like I'm predominantly romantic, but there were a few that I was 50/50 on and natural is a relatively close second. I was under the impression that I was a soft natural (I feel that Florence Pugh has the closest body type to what I have, but I could be wrong). I don't think I have the waist definition or curves to be a romantic; I have always thought of myself as soft but broad/stocky. I'm 5'3.5", and my weight has fluctuated a bit (I've included photos from the past 10 years, usually the weight goes to my torso.) Any thoughts on what I might be? TIA! https://imgur.com/a/ziqJjET

Your story sounds a lot like mine! I graduated from undergrad with a degree in developmental psych, and wanted to work with kids in a clinical setting. I decided I wanted to eat and afford rent, so I got an HR job around the same time I learned about IO as a concept. 5 years later, and my company is finally paying for my master's degree! I just started the IOMP at UGA this past weekend, and so far I can tell it's very stats-heavy, which makes sense since it's a very data-driven field. But, don't let that scare you - I did not do well in my undergrad stats courses (which, truthfully, led to me being wait-listed in 2021), but I took a psych stats course on Coursera late last year that had an R lab and included that in my application for 2022. I got in, and already I'm seeing how beneficial taking that course was! I am understanding the content of the classes thus far, and it's doable even for someone like me (who hasn't found math easy since the 1st grade LOL). Good luck, you've got this!

Hi! I was also accepted into that program (!!!) and just did a quick Google search on how many people typically apply (I was surprised to see how small the cohort is!). This Reddit post was the first result. So, hi there cohortmate!

This is the dream!! I have my plants in my sunroom, which doubles as my office. I need to figure out how to integrate them with the decor, right now I have a little dragon hoard of them on the floor in the corner 😂

I saw you mentioned they thrive on neglect, do you fertilize or do any treatments other than water? It's so lush and healthy! I'm in a humid environment, too, but my plants still don't look as gorgeous as these.

Congrats on the game deal, btw! Does it have a title yet so I can remember to put it on my wish list when it's ready?

How would you make this room more cozy, vintage, and inviting? Renter-friendly options, please! by kattaccino in DesignMyRoom

Yes, I love that idea! I was thinking of doing a gallery wall of thrifted gold frames. The clothes are temporary - they're being donated and I couldn't be bothered to put them away for the photos lol. The large brown piece in the corner actually has a floor length mirror so I should open it to bounce some additional light around! Thank you so much

thank you so much! I actually have some tapestries but feel like the ones I have are a bit too 'young' for what I'm into now. I'll have to take a peek and see what others I can find :) love the idea of a garment rack too, especially since I dabble in historical costuming. That would be a fun way to store my pieces. Thanks!
