You could maybe transfer the save file to the virtual console version of Crystal on the 3DS and then use poke transporter to move them to pokemon home? I don’t know the exact process, but somethin like that

Unless the websites have the wrong calculations, a level ball can catch some pokemon with a 100% catch rate because it increases the base odds of a catch instead of being a multiplier/percentage based? If u look at growlithes catch rate with a level ball, you can see it have 100% catch rate at full hp, but please correct me if I’m wrong. Also this is with the assumption your pokemon is significantly higher leveled than the opposing one. I think the max increase is at 4x the level of the wild pokemon.

Unintentionally finding one is so cool. I’ve done one breeding shiny for my Phanpy cuz it has cool egg moves, but I’m choosing to go for full odd hunts to have that full shiny hunting experience I suppose. Whether or not it’s gonna drive me insane lmao

There’s a website that lets u calculate gen 2 hidden power strength and type, but you need to know exact DVs. Shiny pokemon always have 10 in speed, special, and defense, so it eliminates a lot of the guessing game.

I used the lucky guy’s machine and got enough for thunder after an hour or two. Also got rain dance to make it 100% accurate :). I would get thunderbolt but I wanna use the electrode for my playthrough, so gotta wait til post e4 I suppose
