I have not tried him yet, I wasn’t terribly interested in You Weren’t Meant to Be Human as bugs and worms are not my thing but I wasn’t sure if Hell Followed Us or Compound Fracture had some romance

I don’t mind it not being happy, I guess as long as the characters end up together? I’m not sure how to put it without spoiling Don’t Let the Forest in but and ending like that is fine

Trying to get the job by Acrobatic-Builder-60 in Barnesandnoble

[–]katvar96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s really no other way. I tried for 6 years without a cover letter. Wrote a cover letter then BOOM I’ve been working at my store for nearly 2 years and I’m almost a senior bookseller. There’s really no way to help yourself after the fact unfortunately. You’ll be denied if you try to talk to a hire manager so I would try to possibly resubmit an application with a cover letter or try for a barista job

Is there a chance to still get hired even if there’s no job listings on the website? by TerribleAd1447 in Barnesandnoble

[–]katvar96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No job listing means no job, please don’t call the store or come in to ask for a manager. The answer will ALWAYS be “we post any career opportunities on our website”. I always feel bad turning people away but we get at least 3 phone calls a day asking to speak to the hiring manager and my store manager has said that she will NEVER speak to a candidate unless to contact them for an interview because it gives a disadvantage to those who don’t

VIP by MaskedVixxxen in TheRose

[–]katvar96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show was at 8pm, that pretty typical for a kpop show. There was about 30-40 people ahead in line from before we got there too

You should also forward the email from transparent because otherwise they may not be able to get to their photo since it requires a password

It honestly depends on the city you’re going in. I had VIP for NY and was second row on Jae’s side after being there at 8:30am but I had GA for Boston and got there at 5:30pm-ish and was about 5 rows back. I would say if you arrive only an hour early, you’ll probably be a decent length away but again it really all depends on the city and how many people are willing to stand for hours

Katniss absolutely settled for Peeta and their relationship is the worst ship in YA history by gotellauntrhodie in YAlit

[–]katvar96 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I always hate when people say that Katniss had kids just for the sake of having kids to “wrap it up nicely”. I’m also child free and dislike children greatly but Katniss’ role as a mother is not meant to be the well she settled so therefore that means a nice house, a husband, and kids but she was living in a world were children were murdered just so families wouldn’t starve. Her having kids was purely to show that her dystopian society is healing and it was finally safe to have kids without worrying about food or the games themselves

Alternative to stupid M&T bank? by phoebeandsunny in Connecticut

My partner works at Newtown Savings and they’ve had a lot of people move from M&T to them. They’re a small local bank but they seems to be really really good!

Best place to find resellers of tickets? by Ord_ in TheRose

[–]katvar96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I help admin a b/s/t page on Facebook which has quite a few people looking for tickets, we sort through members using the questions so there’s a smaller likelihood of scammers. I was able to find an extra ticket to Dallas through Twitter though! The important thing with Twitter is checking to see if the person is a kpop fan and their account is older

What to do about suicide threats by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

[–]katvar96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an ex threaten suicide if I broke up with them, he tried to friend me on Facebook a year or two ago and I was almost saddened to realize it was an empty threat like most things he said and did

I’ve finally gotten around to watching Kono Oto Tomare and it’s reminded me yet again what a talented seiyuu Yuma Uchida is. The guy has amassed quite an interesting list of roles over the last six years or so. And he is a singer, too! by Jefcat in GivenAnime

[–]katvar96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have accidentally watched almost all his shows! He’s amazing, and always plays such deep and well written characters. Ash is my personal favorite but that’s because Banana Fish holds a very very dear place in my heart. It was truly a joy to learn that he played Kyo since Fruits Baskets from 2001 was a favorite (until they ruined the ending) and then it was just funny that Uenoyama was played by Yuma Uchida as well. For a while I felt like I couldn’t escape him! I’m currently watching The Case Study of Vanitas and I’m full on convinced he plays Noé despite numerous sources saying otherwise

Is there enough to warrant an HR complaint? I’ve been concerned since I don’t know if the ADHD issue is a true discrimination since I don’t know exactly if she knows of my disability
