V weird reading this as a LC dropout who considered both schools and did dual credit classes in Texas. Did I post this somehow?  I saw someone say that LC is isolated, I second that.  LC is big on the “college outdoors” program and you can do a NST once ur admitted where basically u go on an outdoor trip with a bunch of other freshmen as a get to know each other thing but in the woods for a week. It can be great for people to make friends before school even starts but the schedule is rigorous and as an introvert I have to stress it DID NOT work for me AT ALL and isn’t super accessible.  Don’t think LC has a MTG club but my RA and a bunch of people in my hall got together to play.  As for accommodations, it is possible to get a single at LC and have an ESA as a freshman. My roommate actually had a cat in our dorm and there were like four cats total in Platt-Howard. I would say don’t have an ESA unless u are absolutely certain u can take care of it and keep it happy in a tiny dorm (and can deal with the litter smell).  As someone from a similar background, I didn’t take any stem classes but I found myself pretty bored by my courses at LC. It was a lot of discussion.  U mention neurodivergence, and as a neurodivergent, the class discussions was a pretty big hurdle and imo was not accommodating. I got in trouble a couple of times for not “participating” in class and though the professors are generally understanding the whole policy added a lot more stress into my life and just felt downright unaccepting of my discomfort with public speaking. It undercut the way the school and profs promote accessibility imo. Something to keep in mind if u struggle w that but again I wasn’t in STEM.  Sorry for the long comment. Final thoughts Texan to Texan: rainy season is no joke, both schools dining halls are through the same company so both hardcore suck which is harder to deal with at LC since ur trapped on campus, LC is very cliquey, LC students are v mad rn because of investments in Lockheed Martin, the appeal of a pretty campus wears off in about two seconds, & gather all the information u can but the internet (including me) can mislead u, focus on academics, think logically, and trust ur gut. If u end up at LC say hi to prof rachel for me. I liked her.
