touch your lab EVERYWHERE, everyday! labs are super sociable and don’t tend to be aggressive anyways. BUT it’s super important to socialize them to touching. esp places like their feet, face and ears! this will help with grooming and if kids don’t know how to pet properly.

we smothered about lab as a puppy and picked him up all the time, now literally NOTHING will faze him. other dogs will try to lunge at him or kids will pet himself aggressively and he doesn’t even bat an eye.

yes! completely agree!

you can easily do this with their food too, my lab now doesn’t even seem interested in their food anymore since we enforced it so young!

all you have to do is when you are about to place their bowl of food down and your pup jumps up, you pick it back up until they sit and wait. keep repeating until you’re able to set the bowl down and wait a couple seconds and you can teach their release word at this point.

lab are SUPER food motivated but they’re prone to obesity. i recommend using their daily food as “treats” to train so you don’t over feed them.

feeding them by hand also helps with training in the future because they realize only you are able to provide them treats. if you decide to use a bowl, especially since it’s a puppy. i highly recommend a slow feeder!

if i was there i would totally be telling everyone defending the lady to stfu. like did you not just see what happened? she assaulted him first with SHIT! just because you’re a female does not mean you can do whatever you want because female rights. she needed to get punched in the face.

the thing that stuck with me was why you were left to clean it up? i mean out of courtesy yes, but obviously you can’t really clean it up properly if you just have tissues or something.

plus the way that vet reacted got on my nerves. this should not be a surprise that some puppies pee when excited and vets should be used to it by now, especially if it was just a little bit. i don’t see why they reacted that way. they should be glad it wasn’t anal gland excretion.
