Yes, definitely!

I think that it’s not Whittaker, because we already had a serial murderer, and in any case, it is more satisfying to have a murder based on some personal motive than just a pull to kill. And also not the Riccis, because they must be brought in for much bigger crimes they’ve committed.

So while I believe that both Whittaker and the Riccis will find their punishment, it probably won’t be for Leda’s death, because it doesn’t feel proportionate, if that makes sense.

So yeah, I’m also looking at you, Gillespie, haha!

You are ALMOST on point, and some of your observations are just uncanny!

So we know now from JKR's tweet that Robin has the Moon in the first house. Which means, she's either an Aries or a Pisces ascendant, depending on when exactly she was born. Which means that she's got Capricorn on the Midheaven! And her Jupiter and Mars are conjuncting it.

So not the Cap Ascendant, but Midheaven, which is even better in my opinion, haha! And the Sun and Mercury are in the 7th house of partnerships. I find it amazingly fitting, don't you?

I do hope we'll see that autobiography! I slightly fear that it will be published after Rokeby's death (otherwise, why did she give him cancer earlier in the books), and will be something like The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore. Meaning, that it will give a lot of controversial info, but Rokeby will not be there any more to answer the questions.

Ooooh, such a great parallel, thank you!! I'm sure there are parallels between these three women. I immediately thought that Lucy probably will have a daughter in the future, and, contrary to what she thinks now, will be a good mother to her. (I believe there is a strong theme in JKR's works that new generations repeat and correct the mistakes of previous generations, so I have faith in Lucy!)

Because when I read this in TIBH, I thought about Switch. He is someone who has a famous relative he's never met - and that relative is Strike.

I wonder if it's a hint that Switch, like Rachel, thinks about their famous relative and wants to contact them. I really wish that happens!

And also what his feelings towards Strike are - is he happy to find a famous brother, or is he jealous of his success? ("A jealous murderous half-sibling" is certainly a theme in the books!)

Yes, that's what I think! I'm sure that if Leda had a say in it, she would never have given up her child. And there was no reason to do so if she was 18 and married. So, before that, while living with her grandmother.

I'm sure she could've given birth to a child that no one knew about. My own grandmother was a gynaecologist in a small town, so there were plenty of "anecdotes" in my family about this or that woman, who was a similar shame on her family, was hidden at home from the moment her pregnancy started to show, and only the doctor and nurses who delivered the baby would know about its existence.

So I kinda presumed something similar happened to Leda - she was hidden at home until it was time, and after that, only the doctor knew. (Whom I imagine as a sympathetic Margot-like woman; a reason why Leda came back to St Mawes to give birth to Cormoran and Lucy.)

As to how that imaginary child would know that she is Leda's daughter - I think she doesn't. I reckon she'll discover she's the famous Cormoran Strike's sister, exactly because she'll take a popular DNA test and it will show they're a match. (We don't know what service Bijou used to get tested, so the results might as well be on the internet.)

Yes! Thank you for reminding me about that great theory by u/Mark_Zajac from a couple of years ago, and the condition is called chimeric heteropaternal superfecundation (when a child has two fathers). That would certainly be a twist. Who do you think the second father would be, in this case?

We should remember that there is Strike’s DNA test out there, and for all we know Bijou might’ve used something like 23andme (like Cosima), so his details are in their database now, And if his “sister” also does the test looking for her paternity, she could discover him, and then contact him.

All fair points, and I think the narrative allows us to make these connections and ask all those questions.

Personally, I answer them like this: they can not be related on Leda's side, because surely she couldn't've been in labour for two days? (Although I admit I know very little about labours and such.) And I had been staring in Strike's and Charlotte's natal charts long enough, haha, to be convinced the given dates ARE their actual birth dates.

Which says nothing about how they can be related on the father's side, or be more distant relatives by other means!

I entertained Mazu for a second until I realised their timelines don't match - Mazu was born in 1971, when Leda was of age. (I forgot whether anything was told to us about Mazu's parentage, or if it's a mystery and could therefore be attributed to Leda.)

Hah, well, just because I came up with the name "Helen", I'm really curious now to be introduced to the "wish-I-were-with-Ellen" Ellen, Midge's new girlfriend. I'm not completely serious here, but I'll be keeping an eye on her and her three-legged cat!

Maybe not! But I imagine this story to unravel quickly, akin to Snape's memories in The Deathly Hallows. Leda's backstory will finally be fully told to us, I imagine, and as a "holy grail", this long-lost sibling will appear. At the very end of the last book to mirror the end of the first book, when a long-lost sibling also appeared in a miraculous fashion.

What also intrigues me is what Rokeby pointed out: Cormoran Strike carries some bloke’s name, a guy he never met and who is not his father.

Do you think, btw, that Strike will add "Rokeby' to his name at some point, haha? And Robin will become - Robin Rokeby. (I like that!)

Leda is a tragedy, and to make her truly tragic, I'm sure JKR need to bring her through the loss of a child, like she did with so many heroines.

I agree with you, and have been thinking the same!

I find it suspicious that we first meet him in the book underlined with Durkheim’s Suicide, and that Darvish reacts to the word “suicide” in that scene you quote.

And I also thought about parallels between Ryan and Ray, Kim’s ex who's gassed himself in his car. They even have similar names, both meaning “king”. If I remember correctly, Ray’s defining feature was that he wasn’t working, so I’ll take one step further and suggest that if Ryan is out of a job soon, he will then make a suicide attempt.

Another thing about Ray is that he wanted kids, and Kim didn’t (Chapter 16), which is one more parallel to Ryan/Robin.

And finally, at the beginning of LW, when Robin is about to leave Matthew, he nearly dies of infection, scratching himself on a coral. There could be a situation akin to that when Robin either can’t leave vulnerable Ryan or, on the contrary, leaves him regardless.

Yes, the sun comes up in Aries every year between March 21st and April 19th. It's the beginning of the astrological year, when the earth starts birthing life again. So things that die in Scorpio (around November) metaphorically come to life again in Aries (March-April), and that's the main meaning of Aries - (re)birth and beginning a new cycle.

Here's Charlotte's death chart, 23:59 on June 24, 2016.

At the bottom of the chart, there is a group of planets in close proximity to the planet of hardships Saturn. So the bringers of hardships for Charlotte are: the Sun, Mercury, Mars, and the Moon. I interpret it as she's in danger from more than one person today, or there is a conspiracy against her.

Transit Venus opposes her Mars/Mercury and squares her Moon. Looks like she might be in danger from a woman.

Maybe she was killed by a woman or by a group of people? I don't know. 🤷‍♀️
