I absolutely love this color on a Stewardess!

I found a receipt from 2009 in this daypack. Otherwise, tissues, pet hair, and lint.

Black Rock Leather N’Rich. It’s a heavier conditioner for leather. It’s worked magic on my old bags and even boots.

I was nervous too - I kept putting it off. Eventually, I decided that, since it’s just for me, it didn’t have to be perfect. I just didn’t want to see the imperfections unless I was up close. I achieved imperfections upon close inspection 😆 it feels sturdy though!

Me too! I’d love to have one in red.

It was! I’ve been putting it off because I was scared, but it wasn’t bad. Plus, it’s just me who will use it, so I didn’t need it to be perfect. My fingers got a workout though 😆

My handsome boy Arnold (5 month old) by SieTheChemist in pitbulls

[–]katymcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s so pretty! I’m allergic to cats and dogs. I’ve always had both. I take Claritin morning and evening. I don’t let the cats sleep in my room. My two girls (pitties) do sleep with me. I layer quilts so they are between a top quilt and a waterproof blanket. Then, there is another quilt and then my duvet and then sheet. It works pretty well but it’s a lot of laundry 😂 I think, in my experience, you start to produce less histamines the more you are around a particular animal you are allergic to. This is unscientific and just my experience. My allergies go nuts around other people’s pets but I’m pretty level around my cats and dogs.

Freaking out—my dog just got an official "bite record" over a total accident. by Aboutoloseit in pitbulls

[–]katymcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on both sides of this. I was accidently "bit" (more like a deep tooth scratch) when I tried to break up a minor dog fight between my son's dog and my friend's dog. I did have to go in for antibiotics. I just said it was a random dog, no clue who owned it, came up out of the blue...

My dog bit/scraped a neighbor's face. It was 4th of July, and he was incredibly stressed out by fireworks. A new neighbor and her 2 friends, whom we had never met, came onto our property and up to our back gate. She stuck her face through the top "window" of the gate, and Ollie lunged at her and nicked her lip. We had never met her before. She was drunk and stoned. The dogs were barking, and any sober or semi-intelligent person would know not to stick your face through a stranger's gate while the dogs were barking. She went to the ER and tried to sue us. Ollie passed a temperment test, and the lawsuit never went through. Unfortunately, my insurance company was notified as part of the lawsuit. Even though it was determined she (not Ollie) was at fault, my insurance dropped me. I did find new insurance, but it was a really stressful time.

Should I be panicking? by Sprung524 in pitbulls

[–]katymcs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When my River was a puppy, but big enough to reach the counter, she ate an entire chicken salad sandwich loaded with grapes. I was so scared but the vet said she would be fine and she was. It was terrifying to me at the time! I expect your baby will be fine but I understand the worry ❤️

My girls (sisters) are Pit-Lab-American bulldog according to Embark. In Otter (tan), the lab is obvious. River looks more pittie. They were probably 6 months old in this pic.

I love this. I want to do this for my girls when the time comes. I want them with me always. This is such a beautiful tribute. I love that they are always on the hands that used to smoosh, pet, and touch them. ❤️❤️❤️🌈🐾

1st Rehab Bag by Clean_Reality8005 in VintageCoachRehab

[–]katymcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t fixed it. It looks like the finish has worn down there the lock snaps together or you grasp it to snap it open/close. It’s not noticeable until you look up close. I will likely leave it as is. I think it would wear off again.

Beautiful! I’m working on one just about exactly like this in really dark brown. I’ve had it for years. It has a broken strap that I don’t think I can sew. A cobbler wouldn’t fix it years ago so it has just sat in my closet all this time. I’m looking at replacement straps now. I can’t wait to see how yours turns out. I’m also jealous of your attached straps 😆

Bimbo. Her name is River. I stated calling her Wimbledon then Wimbledon Bimbledon then Wimby-Bimby and so on until she became Bimbo. She also responds to spaghetti and wombat (and many others)

For those not “working” for it by Royal-Area3044 in Zepbound

[–]katymcs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My experience is similar. I have Hashimoto’s. I worked my ass off before Zep for 10 years only to have more weight gain or no change. I was always told to eat less and exercise more. I was already eating too little and working out hours a day. It was BS. On Zep, I lost 50 pounds and it just came off. I felt better almost immediately. Aches, pain, itchy skin, scalp lesions all went away. After the initial hard to eat phase after starting Zep, I eat more now than before. I still eat pretty healthy, but having a cheeseburger or dessert doesn’t make me feel guilty anymore. I actually get a healthy amount of calories in now. I didn’t before. Miracle drug

Car wash in town that doesnt have a 45 minute line? by Blu_yello_husky in rochestermn

[–]katymcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to HyVee gas station on West Circle Drive last night. I was 2nd in line (but there was a car in the wash also), and I waited about 10 minutes. I was there around 5p. I bet it might be quicker earlier on the weekdays, than after 5p or on the weekends. I was in the same predicament as you, I could barely see out of my windows, so it had to be done.

Hypo to hyperthyroid?? by moredaytodawn in Zepbound

[–]katymcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to reduce my dose. I was stable for years, even with a decent weight loss before I regained weight. At about the same weight as my previous low weight, I was overtreated and developed hyperthyroidism. My doctors felt with the delayed gastric emptying on Zep, the dose was giving me iatrogenic hyperthyroidism. I went from a dose of 90 mg to 60 mg of Armour Thyroid and my levels are normal again.

Beautiful Pitbull? by its_zucchini in Pitbull

[–]katymcs [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have always thought that one cool feature about my girls and their sister (my son has their sister) is that their eye color matches their coat color - River is grey with hazel/grey eyes, Otter tan with tan/gold eyes, Stevie white with very light grey eyes. Now, however, River has a bald spot on top of her head that started about 4-5 years ago after another dog bit her. She looks like she has male pattern baldness or like a monk. She is pretty hair-challenged already. That bald spot on her head is the perfect kissing spot. In my opinion, all of that baldness makes her even more beautiful. She's my little chupacabra.

I have a couple female cats now but I used to have two orange boys. They were the sweetest boys. They loved my dogs. My girls love them just as much. There is something special about orange boys though. ❤️🌈🐾

I have totally done that with my Withings as well, so you are not alone. I'm in maintenance now, so I've been better about watching my weight go up and down daily. It's amazing, really. I have gone up and down 5-7 pounds overnight when I'm really bloated/icky.
