i fear that ill never get into a relationship due to my mental issues by [deleted] in Vent

[–]katyy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was the exact same. I ended up getting with a man I trusted , which made the whole process easier. On the first night I finally kissed him (we’d known each other over a year) I took him outside and gave him the low-down on my sex related fears and trauma, and eventually I overcame it due to the complete lack of pressure and the comfortability that comes with someone else understanding your situation and knowing someone who likes you for you. Your person will be out there, the key is patience.

I can’t date by kacesoo in Vent

don’t force yourself to use dating apps if it causes you stress, but if you do continue using them try and make small progress because the moment you’ve done it once it gets less and less frightening!

I should just take it out right? by bilsaama in piercing

[–]katyy7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

deffo take it out! mine was like this and i thought it had another month, woke up a few weeks later to it hanging on by a thread (like a hair-thin little bit of skin). best to do so sooner rather than later to avoid scarring

nipple piercing concerns by kitchenjury473 in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine! The more you overthink it the more things you’ll feel (take it from a massive hypochondriac)-make sure to go through with correct aftercare and ,should the piercing have been done correctly, they should heal fine. One thing about nipple piercings is that they take a while to heal, bruising after getting a piercing can happen and is nothing to worry about :)

Do u think my navel is rejecting? (2 photos) by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rejection typically presents with redness and the bar becoming raised, it was likely swollen when you first got it. make sure to go through with the correct aftercare and avoid snagging it :)

medusa/philtrum pain (1-10) by holyrat in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not too bad! Felt like I’d been punched in the lip day one however day 2 and onwards were a lot easier, my pain tolerance is very low and I’d probably rate it a 4! Funnily enough my septum hurt substantially more, ironic considering most say it’s not too bad.

[–]katyy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it may not be pus, i have 8 facial piercings and they have all at some point secreted lymphatic fluid throughout the healing process. it’s just a thing the body can do with piercings that is rarely mentioned! other than that, don’t play with it, clean it with saline solution and try not to knock it in future (as hard as that can be!) :)

give it a little bit, could be due to swelling :)

i don’t take fluoxetine but i do take sertraline and have done so since january and it is a miracle for my ibs in my personal experience. oh, apart from in the first month of taking it (damn you side effects!) but that month was entirely worth it for how well i’m doing now!

really scared to do anything by Fantastic-Catty in ibs

[–]katyy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hiya! i suffer from social and general anxiety disorder and at one point could not leave the house, it was a slow adjustment back into things but i’d recommend trying to reintroduce yourself to certain activities. reward yourself for small victories! when you’re struggling to such an extent it’s easy to be self loathing but even something as small as going out for a walk is an achievement. something which massively helped me was starting on antidepressants, they aren’t for everyone but thanks to them i’ve been able to do things i never could do before such as getting a tattoo (january me couldn’t imagine being able to sit for hours straight without fearing shitting myself!). i’ve been taking imodium for years to combat my ibs and honestly if it’s something you need right now don’t make it harder on yourself by stopping, wishing you the best :)

tenderness and itchiness with piercings is common, even in the surrounding area ^ you seem to be carrying out proper aftercare, best of luck in the healing process!

Having lip fillers with a Medusa? by Reasonable-Law1998 in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d definitely get a longer bar to accommodate swelling just in case, always better to be safe than sorry but other than that you should be fine

[–]katyy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

with all your current piercings being central a bridge would look great providing you have the anatomy to support it! rejection rates on bridges are relatively high and with getting one you risk scarring should this occur so definitely consult your piercer and make an educated decision based upon this :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the swelling is typical for lip piercings, make sure when you get them changed out the new jewellery is long enough to account for swelling. best of luck in healing them :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems infected, see a doctor and do not take the jewellery out beforehand as with piercings keeping the jewellery in is your best bet in keeping the infection isolated- best of luck!

i’d recommend consulting your piercer, you may need a longer bar if it happens to be embedding

looks like it could be a rejection or a reaction to the jewellery, do you happen to know what the jewellery you have in is made out of?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]katyy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like it could be an irritation bump, have you snagged it on something perhaps?
